[color=royal blue]Ryu, seeing this, attempts to save Devenar from a deadly fate. He rushes at Miska and casts Meteor on his way over as he wraps a portal around Devenar to send him closer to Aphra. She immedietly sets out healing Devenar. After his wound begins to close, Devenar bolts up and charges once more. Aphra sighs and casts Call Lighting as both a distraction and an attempt to harm. Ryu's Meteor hits with massive effect. Miska, for his size, takes 4x as much damage as he would normally, but he is also able to react fast enough to strike Ryu. He sees it coming and is able to prepare himself. Ryu is thrown back as Devenar prepares to strike. Miska doesn't have time to prepare himself.[/color]

 

[Tacitus]

*Devenar's Shard glows with a tremendous light as he jumps into the air [can you say Matrix?] and flings nearly every imprisonment potion or Essence of Timestop he can find upon his belts until only the Sphere of the Guards remains. Miska still fights on, but cannot move nearly as fast as he should. Mustering all that is left of his Clerical Spells for the day, he summons up an increased strength from Righteous Misght and Bull's Strength and leaps at Miska. His now larger size enables him to easily contrain Miska with his legs and left arm while he makes the final preparations for the Sphere. Miska utters a few demonic syllables and nearly an entire army of Raklupis appear, ready to destroy whoever is impeding Miskas efforts.*

Devenar: Ryu! Hold them off! *he's looking weaker by the second* Prepare to send the Sphere back to Carceri!

[color=royal blue]With all that is happening, Ryu's and Aphra's individual shards begin to resonate along with Devenar's. Ryu, as quickly as he utters the words for Magic Missles, is engulfed in a light as wings sprout from his back. He takes to the air, surprised that he has wings in his human form -- as it hasn't happened before. Aphra then casts a barrier-type spell on the party to protect them from Miska and his army. Ryu, now able to fly, is easily fending off the Raklupis army. None can even get close enough to aid Miska, let alone touch Devenar or Aphra.

Ryu: How's that?!
Devenar: Perfect! When I give the word... do it!

Devenar is surprised by the strengthe of Aphra's barrier-type spell. It seems to hold about 10x the normal amount of power. Aphra begins to pray again, preparing yet another spell -- Celestial Hammer.[/color]

 

[Tacitus]

*Due to his Fighting abilities granted to him through his Shard he enters into Melee with Miska, fending off every attack and countering, striking a critical point nearly every time. Soon Miska is bleeding badly and has his left arm broken. One of Devenar's legs has been snapped cleen off and he is bleeding badly. In spite of all this, he drags himself over to Miska, pins him to the ground and begins applying the Sphere of the Guards. Miska begins to glow with white and blue lights. He sceeams in pain as the Holy and Lawful energies come into contact with him. He becomes frozen in place as the full effects of the super-concentrated temporal and binding potions freeze him in place. Devenar collapses to the ground.*

Devenar: Ryu! Hurry! Leave the Raklupis, without their prince they will be nothing!

*he weakly tries to get up but hits the ground with a thud. His hands glow with a forest green light as he prepares one last spell for the day*

[color=royal blue]Miska, though now trapped, is still concious and trying to fight. Aphra casts her Celestial hammer, striking Miska's head critically. He passes out, and Devenar is surprised. Ryu begins to open his portal, surrounding Miska. Slowly, all the Raklupis begin to disperse from the battlefield, afraid at loss of contact from their master. Ryu concentrates, sending more and more energy to the portal.

Ryu: Hurry! Finish it! I need just a little more time! Cast your last spell![/color]

 

[Tacitus]

*Devenar slips out of consciousness but quickly shakes himself back into this world*

Devenar: BEGONE DEMON PRINCE!!!

*With a blast of energy Devenar unleashes a spell of his own design, Soul Banishment combined with Soul Exodus to create the powerful Aegis of Eternal Torment, seperating his oul from his body and creating a duplicate so that the two could battle it out for the rest of eternity. With the massive expenditure of force of will and physical endurance, he falls into unconsciousness*

[color=royal blue]Aphra: Devenar...
Ryu: Hold off! Do not get too close, sister!

Ryu sends the remainder of the energies to Miska's portal. Miska, and his duplicate, go to the very depths Devenar wishes for him. Ryu is expended as well, and falls to his knees.

Ryu: I'm glad we could all come out of this alive... Hurry, Aphra, treat his wounds.
Aphra: Yes, brother.

Aphra approaches Devenar, carefully. She applies energies still present from her Gem Shard of Faith. It allows her to heal Devenar quickly and easily. It also allows her to begin regenerating his lost limb.

Aphra: Mother Martha... Help me heal this one's wounds...[/color]

 

[Tacitus]

*With whats left of Miska's soul doomed to an eternity of viscious fighting with itself, and his body locked away in the lower regions of Carceri, the day is won. After a short while Devenar awakens and looks up at the others.*

Devenar: Now that our obstacles are out of the way, we must return to our main quest, finding this "Tek Blade," was that it?

*he cracks all his joints with a sickening crunch*

Devenar: Hmm, seems I will need to shed soon.

*he summons up several small fires and returns to brewing potions while the others get heir bearings*
