The squadron wnt down the short corridor with minimal opposition. A team of Flamer Gears and a Shroud Gear stood at the end of the hallway. The Shroud Gear motioned that they were allies and joined the team. Corporal Kelley was in his cockpit making the Gear use hand signals.

((Ah, okay.))

Leo continued down the long hall, checking his six every ten seconds or so. Soon, they reached a blast door. However, the door was too small for Gears.

"Guess we won't be using these thngs. Let's go."

Simon nodded and disembarked from his Gear. His Mark XI suit was equipped with his usual SADAR and Minigun, but this time had miniature pepperbox grenade launchers on the arm ports.

Kelley was using an older Mark X suit with some "beauty marks" on it. "Let's keep it quiet team. No one on the squad channels or private channels." He ordered his men and then the two squads charged into the maze of claustrophobic corridors.

Leo was surprised that Kelley was even given clearance to wear a VALHALLA suit. He then realized that it probably didn't have the same augmentations as the suits that the old DREAM MAKERs wore.

He moved in steathily, behind the rest of the Marines. Toggling on his night-vision, Leo surveyed the corridors. THere was nothing. Unless...

Leo tapped Simon on the back, and then tapped his own helmet. Telling him to toggle his black-and-whites on. Simon nodded, switching over to black-and-white.

"Holy..."

The entire corridor was filled with writings and drawings.

Leo looked these over, thinking to himself...

"Damn... maps, directions... everything."

Leo tapped Kelley on the back, motioning him back with his thumb. Leo took point and proceeded down the corridor.

"It's almost...as if they're expecting us..." Simon whispered through the private channel with Leo. "This is too creepy, chief." As the squads made their way to the end of the corridor and then Simon scouted ahead of the others, he noted that there were marines on the other side with the hammar of justice on thier power armor shoulder pads. The Minutemen. "Minutemen, chief. Ten of them."

"Let's just hope they haven't seen the writings on the walls."

Leo noted a particular set of writing, done in an amalgam of languages, including the Nagalisk tongue. This was the trail that Leo followed.

Sliding up silently behind one of the Minutemen, Leo put a nice-sized .45 caliber round between his ears. None of the other Minutemen heard anything, as Leo's pistol was silenced and he had caught the dropping body.

The others in the squad followed suit and soon all ten minutemen were lifeless on the floor. The squad continued down the cramped spaced hallway. Simon was begining to feel a little nostalgia, claustraphobia and foreboding all at once.

Finally the team stopped. Leo held up a hand, and then pointed Kelley and two others back the way they came, to provide cover. Leo knocked on a door on the right side of the corridor, followed with a single phrase.

"Heaven sent, Death delivered."

The door slid open and Leo and Simon entered.

((I'll leave it up to you to intro Kate, because I gots me writer's block!))

Simon and Leo entered the cargo hold of the ship, there on the far end sat five marines chained to a wall. Simon and Leo break the chains simply by shooting them. Katie lifts her head up weakly and stares at Leo. "Hey, Leo." she mumbled tiredly. "About damn time..."

Leo helped Kate up, while Simon and the healthier Marines helped the others get on their feet. Leo looked Kate over. Two years since she had seen a familiar face... Leo pulled out his pistol, un-co.cking the hammer and clearing the chamber. he handed the gun over to Kate, along with several clips.

"Where the hell is your armor?"

"Well, they kinda remove anything that would protect you or be a threat to themselves. Its the law of taking prisoners. Lets just kill this captain guy and go home?"

"I agree with the lady, we have to move, Chief."

"Damn. Did they scrap it, or keep it? Because you're not going to survive a vacuum."

Kate shrugged. She didn't know, nor did she care at the moment. All she knew was that there was an objective that needed completing, and that Leo was going to be there. Everything was gonna be all right.

Leo, however, thought otherwise. "Kelley, plant the tracking bug on... the case marked '09-90-8765AE5VB'. And while you're all at it, plant demolition charges in weak points of the hull, just in case. Simon, Kate, Richards, Kieth, you're with me. Kelley, watch over this group of Marines."

Leo looked over his team.

"Let's go hunting."

Simon unsafetied his SADAR and shouldered it as he and Leo exited the cargo hold. He handed Kate his pepperbox grenade launcher so she would have some means of fighting.

On the other side of the door across the hallway they would meet the Captain and kill him.

"Alright, we go in quiet, we kill him, and we get out. Kate, you're still a psychic, right?"

"Yeah... I think."

"Good. You'll need to disguise yourself."

Leo walked up to the door's keypad, hacking it using skills he learned in covert training. Cloaking, he slipped through the door, with Simon and Kelley backing him up, Kate covering their six.

As the door opened, there were three guards and a large man with an eyepatch. He was definatly the Captain. Simon rolled to the right, pumping a SADAR rocket into one man, blowing him to bits. He got shot in the abdomen, however. He fell to the ground and Kelley took out the next guard.

"Dammit, Codop! There goes covert, right out the win-"

Leo unloaded a silent burst of gunfire into the final guard, putting three 7.62 millimeter full-metal jacketed rounds in a half-inch sircle right into the man's forehead, turning the guard's head into a misty cloud of red and grey.

By this time, the Captain had risen from his chair, drawing out what looked to be a very big pistol, along with a handgrenade. Leo, kelley, and Simon all shifted aim at the same time, but the Captain fell down, double-tapped to the head. The three standing men spun, facing a guard, holding a simple pistol. The same pistol Leo had handed Kate.

"Thank me later."

The guard holstered the pistol, turning and facing outside again. Kelley made a low whistle. "Daaamn, she's a good shot." Leo simply nodded. "Alright, Simon, recover what information you can, Kelley, back up Kate. I need to get the Marines ready for extraction. Oh, and Simon?"

"Yo."

"Next time, don't take the BFG with you."
