I ****ed around for the first few years of highschool. Failed most of my freshman year...and quite a bit of my sophemore. I really didn't care about school..so I didn't really do anything but be an ass. By the time I was a junior. I realized I wasn't going to graduate on time if I didn't straighten up. Took a lot of work and some extra projects..but I passed on time. I would have rather spent my senior year worry free...so yeah...the point? Don't mess up in your early years of highschool, you'll pay for it later...and it makes things a lot more difficult than they should be.
Do you think one trimester would do much? Of math getting a C and Biology Getting a C?

Being a freshman girl is alot different than being a freshman guy, looks like.

You shouldn't get anything less than B's in highschool. It's all easy.

Indeed. You should slack while you can, but if you do badly this year, make sure you make it up ASAP! I did the samething, and it came back to haunt me hardcore Junior Year and Senior Year. :-/

I think that would depend on the high school, the teacher, and the class.

And don't try as hard as you can, for a few reasons: there's no point to it unless you want enter an IVY League college (Even medical school could give a shit about how you did in high school), and it's also inefficient. If you really want to learn things, study on your own, and get by in high school.

I did shit my freshmen and sophomore years (I'm a junior, now), and now I have to work my ass off to even get close to catching up. It all depends on if you plan on graduating. I mean, if you are there just to learn, there's no point in trying to do well on your assignments. But if you want a piece of paper saying you learned stuff (diploma, for the slow ones), don't mess up. You really have to work extra to get caught up.

College is where its at.

Nothing like the impersonal atmosphere of a major campus to teach you how to live.

At least you're only taught useful stuff in tech school.
You can still make a decent income only going through a tech school.

The school I goto counts as 30 hours and each hour cost less if I decide to goto college after.

Highschool or college? For highschool, I suppose it matters, but they'll really be going back to the basics for like... the whole year. So don't really worry about it. Of course freshman year of college matters alot, for your grades, and for how you adjust.

Well the reason I would give up is cause im not trying to get into a ****ing college.... im going into the army......

not the brightest thing man...iv talked to my uncles and cuz's that have gone into the armed forces without a college education. and i quote "which would you rather do,cleaning pissers and shitters for a very long time or coming out of college and giving the orders?"(after you get a degree you can go into the armed forces as an officer if you didnt know that)

if you still want to just jump into the millitary...iv done the research and come to these conclusions

#1 air force - the best living conditions + most likely to come out of a war alive

#2 navy - living conditions are satisfactory but you might get shot at every once in a while

#3 army- living conditions are less than satisfactory and you see quite a bit of action and high risk of getting killed.

#4 Marines- the worst living conditions as told by my uncle while over in Iraq "had to dig and whole and that was my bed" you are on the front lines.

so in the end, it is all based on that damn piece of paper! High school football taught me alot of things but above all , it taught me to never give up.

If you **** around freshman year of HS, you have to make it up, don't **** around. I'm trying to get into a regular 4-year (No ivy league, Cal State Fullerton for those in Cali), and I have to get all Cs, and I've missed my Zero Period five times this year. (I'm a senior).

Just don't **** around too much.

All I know, is that I dicked around my freshmen and sophomore year, getting D's and shit in required classes. Junior and Senior year I had a 4.0 GPA, but with the shit grades I had in my first two, it rounded to about a 2.7, which wasn't good enough to get into any of the colleges I wanted.
