Video games responsible for violence?

I.agree.with.Firebat.(by.the.way.my.space.bar.is.broken.dont.ask).the.games.can.only.kill.and.help.kill.kids.if.they.stay.up.and.play.it.all.the.time...those.parents.shouldnt.blame.violence.on.the.video.games...if.the.kid.wants.to.kill.the.kids.gonna.kill..and.it.probaly.happens.when.they.see.their.parents.fighting.

Don't forget those people who get addicted to games like Everquest and end up quitting school and their jobs. There was another article about that, which i'm sure most of you read. This 20 year old guy got hooked on everquest, ended up killling himself by his computer after a friend in everquest backstabbed him and took all his items or something like that. Pretty messed up. He was moved out too, so no blaming his parents there.

My Opinion:

People are using and abusing the system to make money.
Their tragedies (which I think have nothing to do with games/tv)
are their keys to their own personal gain.

Every person is responsible for their own actions -
no matter how bad they have been treated in life.

If they REALLY think that games and tv are what influenced those
kids then their parents should have kept a closer eye on them.
Yes I know that parents have jobs and can't be there 24/7 but they
should at least know where their child is and what they are doing.

I also think that parents should actually TALK to their kids about
these things. How are they supposed to know if no one tells them??

And if this is so hard to do - why did they have children to start with??
So many things can go wrong with a neglected child.​

If you ask me, people blame the video games and tv because they need a way to keep blame off themselves. i mean if a kid is immature enough to go out and repeat something he/she saw on tv or in a game then he/she should not be playing those games or watching those tv shows. and whos responsibility is it to restrict gaming and tv watch of kids......thats right the parents, not the game or tv company.

Right now, the best game for NGC is Metroid Prime, aside from War 3 it's the only game i have played the last 2 days. Got it the day it came out. Im about 20% through the game. PD2 should be good and Resident Evil Zero that looks good.

I totally agree. But i think video games have a small influence. I don't give a shit though. I play what i want and watch what i want. If my dang parents let me. They usually do, to an extent.

what does affect it is that thier parents didn't care what they where doing, if anything it numbed thier sences so they didn't know what was real and what was pixels
