i was wondering when you buy the network for the PS2, do you need to pay a monthly fee ontop of your internet, i have blueyonder broadband which is £25 a month would i have to pay like a subscription to Playstation?, only because i read some where that the x-box live thing has a montly payment which you have to pay to play on the network, is this the same as the PS2? that's all, thanks :D

Sony will not charge you for anything but the Network Adapter. Other companies may choose to charge you (Final Fantasy XI requires a monthly fee to play for example).

The only monthly charge is if you sign up for an ISP over the PS2 network adapter other than that it's totally free except certain games as Ryan said.
