Do you get an error when attempting to change it or does it just not take effect? I'm updated the database counters now to see if that fixes it.

Did you check here?

You should see:

Custom User Title
This is the title that appears beneath your name on your posts. Check the 'Reset' box if you wish to use the default title for your usergroup and post count.

Of course I did, I checked everywhere

I even used Firefox search function in every single page of User CP, it's not there. Perhaps you did something about Forum Ancients, since x42 is one as well?

I don't know if that's possible, but I'll put in a vBulletin support ticket to ask.

Pretty sure there's an option just under the colour setup for usergroup that goes for title.

Might be different though.

I was talking about all titles being white and bold, I guess it can't be done after all.

Nah, the only way you can have a colored custom title is by an admin manually doing it. But yeah, you can have preset colored titles.
