How Do I Run D2 in Window Mode?

I dont Under Stand how to use -w to run d2 in window mode, could sum 1, x-plain it to me?

1. create a shortcut of d2 onto your destop (should be one there default)
2. right click and go to properties
3. at the command line type "-w" (without the ""s) at the end of the line.
