Fixing BF Part 1: Wc3 Section

I admit, it hasn't been the greatest section ever. Especially when I was staff of it before I became Global Mod. Mainly because 1) I was playing it more than providing content and 2) The only thing that ever worked out was the "Post your DotA hero thread", which is a bit of a mess.

It slowly lost interest as years went by, but the game itself is commonly played for melee and DotA reasons.

But I think doing things my way isn't going to be very "people friendly". I was thinking of starting with:

1. Updating the guides - especially that orc one
2. Make some for the Neutral Heroes - Pit Lord is the only one that looks well maintained.
3. Probably a "Creeping for Dummies" thing.
4. If I have the drive and the constant "head in the game" mindset, I can probably make BF-exclusive maps.

Basically, more active content. I myself mostly do Wc3 for the melee aspect.

Anyways, do you guys have any other suggestions. I will be probably working on this as I go throughout December. It is the least I can do for letting it die like that.

Baby steps chris. It's a good idea and maybe if we can do this with every forum one at a time....Perhaps a "forum of the month" where you offer such and such prizes for posting in that forum to help stimulate traffic.

We need a system that we can upload replays to(dont really see this happening though). The strategy sub section and custom game section should be gotten rid of as warcraft general should cover that. And possibly add a separate dota section.

I think something else that should be good is we should make a list of all the players on BF who still play and put there b.net username next to them.

I still play customs from time to time when I'm bored. Mostly DOTA and Hero Siege, occasionally random TDs.

We can try starting a WC3 clan to try to get our name out there. That is if there are still enough people here who still play it.

But bot programs usually are Googlable.
