DII CDkey and D2:LOD Key

Jus a question about the CD-Keys's

I wanna Give my friend the Diablo II CD-Key, can i still play it with my LOD CD-Key or are they a combined key method?

They are the oldest version of CD you can get not the Battle Chest version (incase it uses only 1 CD Key)
