Cd-Rom prob over here!

k well my friend burned me a game (heroes 3) and we tried it at his home and the cd worked but when i got home and went to install it it says that it cant read a cd and it ask me to put a cd in the cd-rom... so i was like err well mayb its the language the cd-rom is but my cd-rom only reads RAW cds...

It could be a copy right protection thing. I know when you burn War3 it burns almost fully, but won't copy war3.exe

It could be that your CDRom does not recognize CD-RW, if that is what your friend burned too.
As in your CDRom may not me multiread supported.

You may also be accumulating dust on the lens of your CDRom, get one of those cleaners.
They are just a CD with a piece of felt glued to the under side, but they work.

Have you tried a game you bought, or a music cd?

if youre cd rom only supports RAW cds why are you even asking this question? chances are its not a RAW cd but a simple CD-R

ya in fact its a simple Cd-r and yea my others cd works as well and ive got other games that have been copied... and btw theres no cd protection thing on heroes 3... btw theres no site where i could get the game free in that case cause its so fkin good! (lol ive only tried once and i cant live without it )
