Of course, Thats why I questioned that...

Massing archers might work .. in the first.. 6 minutes and a good rush, but otherwise.. no it sucks.

indeed, i think archers need a buff in life, liek an upgrade for late game

.. Marksmanship.. Hippos.. And.. Uh.. Yew Bows ( I think ) Its for range.. and improved acuracy.

Hippos would be that late game upgrade.. still suck though =p

they need a health buff because they only have ike 240 life and die easily, some sort of life buff, like 300 life would be good(late game upgrade of course)
