These will likely change as time goes on, as Blizzard has done dramatically with World of Warcraft. It appears that Blizzard's strategy is to satisfy diehard fans' propensity to consume content at an alarming rate, by increasing the grinding time in the initial first few months of release. After that they drop the XP requirements for leveling to get the casual gamers. Clearly their is a massive curve in the XP requirements in an attempt to hook the player with initial, instant gratification that slows over time.
