It is used to instantly hook up with your friends via an AIM sorta of thing. If your friend is in a game, you just simply click his name and you are brought into it. No more copying down IP addresses. Just click and join. You can also chat if you want. I have been using this thing for my clan and for my friends and I love it. I suspect you will to.

You don't use it to chat. You use it to easily play games with your friends.
