Attention all botters who have NO clue what the crap they are doing:
READ THIS.
Most people know I've been going around posting "http://www.d2jsp.org" all over the place. I don't work for njaguar (JSP creator) nor do I go to other sites and promote the shit out of it. JSP is simply the best (in my opinion) when it comes to bots. I've come in contact with: JSP, OPB, IPB, JED, and a few unheard ones. Most are buggy, hard to configure, smell bad, or newbies get lost in the few .ini files there are. I found JSP to my liking and so I'm going to post this in hopes that all you people will read it and find out what the hell you are doing when it comes to botting.
FAQ will follow at the end of this section.. thanks for reading.
What ya'll (haha.. ya'll.) need: Winzip, the Balls to have Patience, A Brain, and some knowledge of editing (dun dun dun...) regular ini files.
First: Download it! http://www.d2jsp.org/files/d2jsp_v0.24_full.zip
Ok. Once you've unzipped it to somewhere... try to use your brain and not forget where you installed it. This little tidbit might come in handy.
Second: Get Updated. Go Here: http://scripts.d2jsp.org/index.php?pid=3&a=vp&did=49
This file contains the updated Snagit! Release and the script for the most used configuration (pwnage pindle). Extract this so that the files IN the *.ZIP file GO INTO your /scripts/ DIR! THIS IS CRUCIAL! If you can't do this; give up and go home. Else, please do continue.
Third: Personalize.
Find "d2jsp Character Config.exe" in your JSP directory and obviously, open it. This is pretty damned self-explanatory, but if you need help with it: Press the "Add Character" button, type in your Character's name (Case-Sensitive) and set their script name to bots/PwnagePindle.d2j (make sure it's *.D2J).
Fourth: Editing the main files
Fire up your JSP directory and open "D2JSPloader.ini" This is pretty damn important so if you've been slacking before this... get your hand outta your pants and on the keyboard. The first thing you come to is
[Account Settings]
Under "Accountname=" guess what you put next to it? Wrong! Your account name, dumbass. Make sure to spell it right. To the .. Below, you'll see the Character Location matrix. This would be where your character is located when you log into your account and see all your characters. If it's in the upper right corner, you'd put a 2 next to "CharacterLocation=". Set your "Difficulty=" to 3 unless you plan on doing Nightmare or Normal runs. The next should be REAL self explanatory, so I'll just skip [Global Settings]
[Path Settings]
"D2Hackit=" Set this, WITH D2Hackit.DLL IN THE PATH! (eg- c:\program files\jsp\d2hackit.dll) Leave "D2Parameter=" alone. D2Path should be set to your Diablo II file: eg c:\diablo ii\diablo ii.exe
[Delay Settings]
This is what makes your bot run. All of these settings must be tweaked to your computer's standards or your likings. If you run multiple processes at a time, I'd recommend higher than what's preset or simply using what's already there.
Fifth: Editing the default settings
Note: The "//" is how scripters leave notes. The decompilers (D2Hackit) don't look at anything next to "//" or "/* .. */" Keep that in mind, it will make the process go mucho faster.
Go to your scripts/libs DIR (i.e. C:\d2\d2jsp_v0.24_full\scripts\libs\) and open "pwnsettings.d2l" with textpad/notepad/wordpad. If you can't find it, you installed the update wrong. Go back to step one and cry. Now. Note the top note: all skill names are case sensitive! Frozen Orb is not the same thing as frozen orb. Make sure you don't screw that up. If you are a sorceress, go to Sorceress Variables, etc. etc. The first thing you should come to (if applicable) is "Precastable Defensive Spells". For sorceresses, if you have Energy Shield, Chilling Armor and Thunder Storm, take the // out from in front of the prelist.push("Energy Shield"); and so forth. Read the "Attack Configuration" and do as it says. If you are able to teleport but don't have much Lightning Resistances, don't keep your "teledistance" as 10! Mine is at 4 and my merc tanks over pindle's minions and takes the lightning like a man. Since I am far away from pindle, I only use static and Frozen Orb, because nova wouldn't work too well. My SwitchOnKill is "true" because I have an occy/lidless in one hand to help lower pindle's health, and then I have a dual isted ali baba in the other hand so I switch
My maxattacks is set to 20 but he's usually dead in about 5 orbs...
Your Mercenary Variables should be easy to configure... don't be dumb.
As for the rest: I have FreeSpace set to 3, I turned the taunts off, I'd recommend NOT to attack the zombies, and my Immunities/Resistances/Enchantments is set to the original configuration, if you don't like lightning, set enchantments[6]= to true;
(Get a tank merc with 75 all resists.. Mine is weaing Bul Kathos CS, Arkaine's and that unique spired helm..)
