Problems with new versions

I want to know if there are any websites to download v.1.6 for free for counter strike.......I have a legal copy and I have installed it but it wants the new version 1.6 and I dont want to pay money to join the website.........so are there any free websites to download v1.6 for cs? thankz!

You don't have to pay anything. Click here to download Steam. Once you install Steam, it'll ask you to create an account (it's free). Once you create an account, you install CS in Steam. CS will be updated to 1.6 automatically. I just reinstalled Steam myself, with DSL it took little more than three minutes to completely install CS.
