What do you think killed it? It was amazingly deep (though pyschic types owned all others in Red+Blue) and so infinitely replayable. What do you think caused it's decline?



I personally blame the show and movies.

I loved Pokemon back when it first came out, I collected everything.

After the 1st season was done is when it died To be honest. It was a great show, good idea, poorly excecuted after the 1st Season.

I still play the game now and then, nothing else to do, I like a good rpg regardless of what its based on...

And they have 2 new versions I think... Fire-Red and Leaf-Green.

I think the pressure of societies beckoning torment made me give in and quit, lol. I quit in 9th grade 100%. Dunno..it was fun while it lasted.

the new ones were ruby adn saphire i beleive.

I wuit a few years ago. personaly, the N64 games were shit, but i stick to my oppinion that the gameboy games had a great battlesystem, the show and movies killed the entire thing

they just came out with too many pokemon. It got rediculous. I stopped playing the game and stopped collecting the cards. So sad to see i was taken in by it.

pokemon was cool from the start... but the shows were stupid... too kidish... all that dumbass does is walk around the world meeting new retarded people in trouble... he doesnt catch shit... but then he says he wants to be a pokemon master... cuz when ash catches a pokemon that makes me wanna play pokemon.... and it also died becuase people grow up... other things better than pokemon... and... all the games r jus like repeats... no new addition....

wow, i've been playing the green one for about 3 hours, it's basically blue version with the gold/silver pokemon (none of the ruby saphire nonsense)

Edd gives it a 8.5/10

At one point i was a huge pokemon spazoid when it came to the card game, i also vividly remember going to the queen mary which was decorated like the...um...the boat in pokemon ><

Anywho it was like a mecca for nerds with their pockets full of cards and their gameboys

i had all the card .. or pretty damn close .. only like 4 away from completeing the first set of cards .... i enjoyed the shwos ... like everyone else said .. the first season ... after that they got kinda gay ..... i watched the movies ... they were average.... and i still play the game whenever i can ... i think its a great game
