People from all sides, explain left and right

what is the left? what is the right? im curious what peoples interpretations of there veiws are. liberals vs. conservatives, moderates....what are these? i want especially a more rightist opinion on this. i want to see some peoples posts on this before i give any feedback.

Here are some of my opinions on leftist and rightists.

Leftists aka. liberals

-Think that this country needs to be changed, or modified.
-Gays and lesbians are more commonly associated with this party, because they are pushing for gay weddings
-Marajuana smokers also have a tendency to push liberal, because they want it legalized.
-People that desire more peace.
-People that believe that man should have respect for whoever he is.

Rightists aka conservatives

-Believe more strongly in wars as long as they are semi-justified.
-Despise the change America has gone through with all the gay history.
-Consists of a considerable amount in the church.
-Less laid back than liberalists

I personally do not consider myself any of those parties, as my parents were republicans, and I will see what the future holds before I decide my party.

im more right... except im not part of a church and im pretty laid back .if my country goes to war, i support the war and my country. and i dont think all these "legalize this, ok to that" society changes are nessicary. and i hate political correctness... its useless.

Here is my opinion and view on what is the left and right.
The leftists or liberals are the people who want to change the established government or the "order" to create equality and freedom and the well being of the citizens. This group is against war, spending alot of money for no reason, etc. If their isn't a good reason for something they won't support it and will oftenly boycott it. They believe that the government only slurs propaghanda all over and that the government might even have an agenda of its own. In other beliefs they accept gayness of men and women, they want more peace (constantly) and they believe equality and rights should be used to the utmost. They're pretty much laid-back also. And, they believe the people in power are mostly corrupt and shouldn't even be there in the first place.

The rights or the conservatives are more supportive of the country in all kinds of situations. They care more about appearance (of themselves and of the country.) They hate liberals and all the changes that have been made because of the liberals. They're mostly church going christians. They don't accept gayness and believe it shouldn't be tolerated. They are more stuck to "the old times." They believe that being a patriot is supporting the country no matter if they are right or wrong, mind you they always believe the country is right.

I, myself, share the views of the liberals.
On a side note: the conservatives used the word liberal today as an insult. What they don't realize is that it isn't an insult. No one outside if the conservative world cares if they call you a liberal. Its a word lightly used nowadays, very substanceless.

Anyway, steven here pretty much summed it up. We`ll have to whait for a group to insult the other before a discution start, I guess.

i think the best way to sum up left and right is to list the -isms and concepts that they endorse, because, essentially, thats what left and right are:

leftism:environmentalism, communism, socialism, equality between classifications of humanity, many adopt symbolisms and ritualisms into their lives, broadening definitions of ethics and ethical standards, which includes political correctness, among other things, new world ideals....etc.

rightism:the major religious indulgance, nationalism, many types of traditionalism, old world ideals, fundamentalism, industrio-globalizationism, imperialism.....you get the point, i just want another way for people to see it.
