Okay, I'm stupid, so how does LAN work?

First off, let's get to the basics.

To do a LAN you need a high speed internet (cable or DSL are most common). Chances are there is more then one computer in your house, so you will need a router to send the information to both computers. You can either be physicially attached the router using a wire, or you can use a wireless network.

A LAN will allow any computers on the same network to play against each other without going onto battle.net. I hope this helps out.

Lol u dont need high speed dumby. I have 4 comps on lan and my comp is main and its on a 56k. its simple..by a "Hub" by ethernet cards. Buy cable wires. Install ethernet cards, plug cable from ethernet card to hub. Set up office network with correct information. There your done!

Well ya, you'd be networked together, but you wouldn't be able to both be online thru the router (that I know of, maybe there's a way).
