NOT MY GUIDE!
TouchTheSky̢۪s 200 Fcr Sorc version 2.0
This guide was made because I feel it is under-estimated, hardly used, and overlooked now a days because of light sorcs seem to be more popular with new ladder items. This guide will be based off East NL items so don̢۪t criticize for not using a certain item from another realm. I have made a pre patch guide of a 200 FCR Sorc (under the account x_seo_x and of course it is out-dated). Even though my last guide didn̢۪t get that many compliments or criticism I am attempting to recreate it and hope for the best =)

XI. Summary
This guide will have eleven sections as you can seeâ€Â¦ the order is self explanatoryâ€Â¦
I. What is a 200 FCR Sorc?
A 200 FCR (Faster Cast Rate) Sorc is one of the most versatile builds I personally have ever played with. You can norm rush probably faster than any other character. You can just about have a good shot in PK versus any char and you also can be a great contribution towards baal runs. There are two different versions I will be focusing on.. they are!
I. The ES / Life (Which I Have Now)
II. Straight Life (My pre patch)
To List some of the Pro̢۪s and Con̢۪s I Made this Table:

II Abbreviations
FCR = Faster Cast Rate
FHR = Faster Hit Recovery
Str = Strength
Dex = Dexterity
Just to clear up any confused readersâ€Â¦
III. How Good is this build in PK?
Well just ask REP (heh just kidding, trying to be funny =))
200 FCR Sorcs are practically untouchable, serves a great deal of damage, and will NEVER run out of mana. This build is my favorite. I have made about 4 different versions of it and probably won̢۪t stop until I̢۪m satisfied. And it takes a lot to satisfy me.
This build takes a lot of practice and work. You will always have fun with it. I guarantee it! On a scale 1-10 From my character experiences this would be a 10
IV. Items
Now this is where you take notes.
The explanations will go in this order
-Item
-Why?
-Pro̢۪s
-Con̢۪s
-Other Options
Helm
- 2/20 Circlet (preferably with good mods)
- You need to hit the last breakpoint
- “ “, You can get in life/mana/res/str/
- If you get a regular 2/20 a shako WOULD be better BUT you NEED a circlet.
- None
Weapons
- Perfect Hoto Flail
- Need to hit the last breakpoint. Also gives you mana / 40 Res / and of course +3 Skills!!
- I say the best part of a hoto over eschustas is the Resist and Mana
- No % Added to Fire Skills
- Eschustas (wouldn̢۪t recommend) Or a Hel̢۪d Wizzy.
Shield
- Spirit Monarch 35% FCR + High Mana
- Once again to hit the last breakpoint if your using hoto/eschustas. If your using I would still recommend a spirit but if you lack the strength and not wish to add any, use a 5/5 Fire faceted Lidless.
- Mana, Res, Life, FCR
- Strength
- 5/5 Fire Faceted Lidless ONLY if your using wizzy.
Armor
- Up̢۪d Perfect Shael̢۪d Magi
- Gives you some FHR along with your boots. Also needed to hit your last breakpoint of FCR.
- +Skills, Resist
- Lacks a Skill that a Enigma or CoH possesses
-None
Amulet
- Armageddon Fletch
- Need for the last breakpoint. Great Mana, Life, Res, +Skills
- Mana / Life / Res
- None, Best in it̢۪s class
- Crafted 2/20 Ammy (wouldn̢۪t recommend)
Rings
- 10/ Strength / Mana / Life / Resist Rings (Any will do)
- Two FCR Rings are needed to hit the last breakpoint and they come with good mods.
- Str, Mana, Life, Res
- No +1 Skills like an Soj
- None
Belt
- Arachnid̢۪s Mesh
- Once again..needed for last breakpoint
- +1 skills, Mana, 20 FCR
- None
Boots
- Soul Spurs / G Spurs
- These boots come with Str / Dex / Res Mods that are necessary to make your character superior
- Strength and Dex Mods. Also comes with resist.
- No Life and Mana like some other boots have
- Eth Treks (don’t recommend because of one reason – you will have to add more strength / dex . Keeping that in mind, it will cause you to lose more life and mana.
Gloves
- Up̢۪d Mages or Regular Mages
- Needed to hit your targeted breakpoint which is 200 FCR
- +1 Fire Skills (yes it will add to your Sorceress fire skills), Mana Regeneration
- I guess no FHR
- None
Inventory
9x Fire Gcs preferably with Life, Perf Anni, Perf Torch. (I guess it̢۪s ok if you do not have perf charms)
On the bottom Row you should have:
- Full 70/15̢۪s (bmanas)
- Full 20 Lifer Scs
- Half and Half
V. Stats
Now that the gear is out of the way you can figure out where you want to add your stats. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS GUIDE!
- Base Stats
10 Strength
25 Dexterity
10 Vita
25 Energy
As you can see the sorceress is lacking in strength and vitality. This may cause a problem to some that attempt to follow this build. I wouldn̢۪t recommend starting this build until you have the essential amount of strength before you can add to it. I myself, still had to add strength. I believe it was around 50. This is OK! Just have items to back it up which you will. For example, Fletch, Spirit, Gcs, Anni, Torch, Circlet, and so on.
The way I added my strength was by getting all my gear on first. Then I looked at my Life and Mana which were somewhat low. I then added about 50-70 points into mana. I was satisfied with the outcome of no mana when I tele, cast fbolts, cast meteors, and only costing a little when I cast a fireball. Don̢۪t worry if your mana runs out a little when casting fireballs. Your regeneration should be good enough to the point where you can tele away and sit there for a couple of seconds and have full mana. Then I added the rest to Life.
My life and mana both are near 2k. Keeping in mind that im using a shitty cta right now. I hope to upgrade it soon. I use a lot of 70/15̢۪s too so don̢۪t be discouraged if you do not attain this much mana.
To sum all that up – wait until you get perfect strength items, put on what gear you can, add your strength, then experiment where to add your life and mana. I recommend you do what I did seeing as I am pretty happy with the outcome.
VI. Skills
This is pretty self explanatoryâ€Â¦
20 Fireball
20 Firebolt
20 Meteor
20 Fire Mastery
1 Warmth
1 Tele
Rest into Energy Shield
Your Prerequisites turn out to be 7
Nothing really to explain in this sectionâ€Â¦
VII. Dueling Strategies
Sorceress̢۪s
- Versus Casting Sorcs
Always play defensive. Period. Once you get on the defensive side and stay there there̢۪s no stopping you. Just have a good aim and you should be ok.
- Versus Melee Sorcs
Although you do not see melee sorcs too often they still exist. Keep your distance but stay in there screen so you can be sure of a direct hit.
- Versus Bowa Sorcs
Once again you do not see these often but I’ll still add the strategic game play to defeat these rare beasts. Keep a screen distance from them and tele in a circular motion. Most Bowa Sorcs do not have a good amount of ias to keep up with your 200 FCR – especially going in a circle. Every time they adjust their position stop and spray about 6 fballs/fbolts. This should be pretty EZPK.
Paladins
- Versus Hammerdin̢۪s
Play defensive and never let them get ahead of you. If they over cast too many hammers bring them to a new area where there are fewer hammers to run into while teleing. Make them follow you. Never follow them and you should be good to go.
- Versus Smiters/Melee̢۪s
Keep your distance and never let them make contact to you. You will most likely die then. Spray fballs/fbolts at them when they are more then a screen away. If you are in there distance and spraying they can easily get a charge namelock and own you.
- Versus the Vindicator / Templar
These guys are tricky. I usually play a long duel versus these pally̢۪s (never let them get in my screen and spray). If these guys get a FoH on you, you can only pray for the best. Fist of Heavens is a tricky skill. It will stun you then they will finish you off with smite.
Assasins
- Versus Trappers
Play defensive and spray from a screen length away. Can̢۪t really go into further detail.
- Versus Whirl Wind Sins
Treat them like any other Melee
- Versus Hybrids
These guys are your worse enemy. You try to play defensive verse the traps but they move in on you. You try to play aggressive but the traps get you. The only tip I can recommend here is try not to run into them and if you do treat them like a sorc.
Barbarians
- Versus BvC̢۪s
I̢۪ve found that barbs kill me the most. They have good resist, nice damage, and a nice tele. Treat these guys like a sorc.
- Versus War Cry
Pfftâ€Â¦.cake. You can be aggressive here but if you get caught up in their cry (which is kinda hard to do) do not try to tele out. Try to cast as many fireballs at them until you die or they die.
- Versus Melee Barbs
Most Melee barbs will not duel a sorc in public Pk̢۪s. But if it happens just keep a screen distance away.
Amazons
-Versus Bowa̢۪s
Use the circular strategy in the sorceress tips. Should do you well.
-Versus CS/Java Zons
Keep your distance and spray. That simple.
Druids
-Elemental Druids
First off, use fireball versus ele druids. You need to take out there sage and summons before you can have a chance to do damage to them. They will most likely be aggressive but don’t let them get ahead of you and when you know it’s a good time to take some shots – do it.
-Melee/Rabie Druids
Keep your distance and don̢۪t let them get to you.
Necromancers
-Bone Necro
If you run into a good boner you will probably get owned. Their spear will injure you badly and they probably have good fcr. I̢۪ve found that if you keep your distance and play defensive you will have a good chance
-Poison Necro̢۪s
Ezâ€Â¦ Just don’t let them get to you. If they are aggressive run away and spray.
*If they are using a fire golem and tanking your hits, switch to lightning(which does around 1-300) and kill it then switch back to fball/fbolt.
VII. How to Afford This Build
If you are poor I wouldn’t recommend trying to complete this build. This is the best gear you possibly can get. If you can afford this build but it will take some time – this is what I recommend
Step 1) Target your hardest item to get. (Ex. Fletch, Circlet, Spurs)
Step 2) Get this/these item(s) over time
Step 3) Never give up
Step 4) Have patience
Step 5) Don̢۪t make bad deals. Always stay on top of your trades
IX. FAQ
- What if I run out of mana to easily and I have to carry around pots all the time? I̢۪m level 88 and have no stat points left.
+ Remake. Follow my stat adding process and you should be fine
-Should I get max block?
+ No. You need all the life and mana you can get. If you want some block use sspurs instead of gspurs
- My ES Sucks, what should I do?
+ Ask yourself if you added any useless stats such as Enchant, cold skills, etc. If you haven̢۪t look where you added the majority of your stats. If they are mostly in vita you need to remake. If your Life / Mana is at a 2:1 ratio I suggest you get some b manas.
- If I get owned a lot and my build is perfect, what do I do?
+ For one, no build is going to be perfect but if you insistâ€Â¦just practice.
X Special Thanksâ€Â¦
-To GeeYouKnitt that supported the making and grushing of my many sorcs. Thanks to all his help I wouldn̢۪t be able to put this guide together. This guide wouldn̢۪t be here without you.
-REP That took the majority of my fballs (meh trying to be funny again ^^)
