Well I just started this thread as a tribute to lotr wondering who is going to be seeing it on wednesday,17 .... as I am because one of my friends birthday is on that date so me,him and some other people are going to see it...

Read the books over the past summer. They are pretty good books....and I hate to read. Books > movies. The only problem is that the characters I pictured ended up being th character from the movie b/c when I think of the person in the book, I see the person in the movie.....damn u Elijah Wood! Going to go pick up my tickets today so I won't have to wait in that long ass line tomorrow night.

I dont even have time to finih the book.So I usually see the films before I read.

Me and a couple friends (6-8) plan on going to see the movie. It's not rated R, so it shouldn't be as hard to get into as Matrix Revolutions was....

I wanted to go for the marathon running in Malaysia, all 3 movies back-to-back, but I couldn't.

OMFG! You have to go see it! I went last night at 12:01 and didnt get back until 4, slept through my finals, and feel terrible right about now.

Even so, it doesnt seem like 3hr-20m and I was praying it would not end. It completely blew the other two movies out of the water, I am still on a high from seeing it.

See it tonight, you must! If thats not possible, see it this weekend!

I don't plan on seeing it so i don't have to show up 30 minutes before it starts just to get a single seat or 3-4 with friends. 2 months and i'll see it in the$1 theater

Nope, the Similarion in my opinion is much too complex and if he were to separate them,, it'd still be too complex. Making the Hobbit would be more feasible.

I heard Pete is going to make KING KONG.... what a waste....

They've already started, 3-4 months into King Kong. But, if Peter can do such a good job with LotR, who knows, maybe that could be good as well.

He wants to do The Hobbit, the Silmarrilion is probably very hard to cast and would be very long as well.
