Yea, I should've said a unit under colossus in the first post

I think that's a drawing... (doesnt seem like graphics... reavers sorta do tho for some reason) so maybe the artist drew that in before he found out about immortals' sc2 plot

They specified in the immortal unite page at starcraft2.com that the ancient "shrine" used to make dragoons was infested by the zergs on Aiur, and that the protoss consequently had to innovate with new units.

cinematics/concept art probably wont help much and they never seem to. They are always made months before the game goes Gold, so changes to unit designs arn't recorded. If you look carefully, the Zergling looks different every time you see it in th e concept art/manual image to the cinematics and in game sprite.

I don't think it would be impossible for any Dragoons to be present in StarCraft II for storyline purposes. Blizzard can always make up some excuse for some Dragoons not having the opportunity to be upgraded into an Immortal.

I think us protoss players would boycott the game if they eliminated carriers.
