I am attempting to hex-edit Diablo II, patched version 1.09, but I cannot find any information on how to do this.
I understand the base-16 (hex) number system and how to locate values using a hex-editor, but I cannot figure out how to get the game to accept my altered .ds2 file.
- Whenever I alter any values (even just by 1), save the file, and then attempt to load it I get a message to the effect that my save file is bad.
What am I overlooking?
