I have all the runes for BOTD... but I can't seem to get my hands on an Eth Warpike (the spear, not "spike"). I've researched where weapon TC-87 drops most often, so I know where to find it. My question is what my MF should be

I have a sorcer that roles around with 600mf, but I was under the impression that if I do get one to drop more MF will make it more likely that its an unique, rare, or magic warpike. I just want an eth one. Therefore I've dropped my magic find down to 115 or so (Lowest I can while still being well equipped) and started doing runs like that.

So will this lower MF help me?... or does a higher mf increase the quality of the item that monsters give (I didn't think it did).

Any advice on the best way to go about finding one I could use too.

I would say, put on some pvp gear on your sorc, and at max you should have around 50 mf (shako), i beleave the less mf the better, and do cows. That is where i would think that you would have the most chance of finding it. Just pile up on the + skills and have as least mf possible.

Yeah... but the chance of a cow dropping it is .005... some of the monsters in hell are around .5 or at least .1 for TC87. I can kill them just as quick... although not as many. I would lack of kills would still be outweighed by drop chance though.

Thanks for MF info.

Accually seeing as you are a sorc, if you use static+high lvl nova with synrogies, you can pwn the cows pretty quick, exspecially if you can get a tank merc. The ammount of cows you kill in 5 minutes would way outweight the amount of monsters you kill in 5 minutes anywhere else.

I would suggest Icy Cellar///Worldstone Lvl 3 runs.

There are 8 monsters with greater than .5% chance of dropping TC 87 in the game. 3 are found in the Icy Cellar, and 2 are found in Worldstone Keep lvl 3. I would wear as little MF as possible, since you just want the base item.

The monsters in the Icy Cellar are:

Snapchip Shatter (super-unique) - Immune to Cold (150%), 0 Res to fire & Magic Attacks

Hell Temptress - Immune to Physical (100%), 0 Res To Magic Attacks.

Death Brigadier - Immune to Cold (145%), 0 Res to Magic & Fire attacks.

As you can see, each of these monsters has 0% Magic res. So if I wanted to farm 6 socket war pikes and zerker axes, I would probably use a Bone Spell Necro with 0 MF.

I got my data from d2data which can be found in the sticky.

Hope that Helps, and Good Hunting.

PS - The probability of a Hell Bovine dropping TC 87 is 0.00505534%, while the probability of any of those Icy Cellar monsters dropping TC 87 is 0.50671614%. If you'll notice, that's 100 times more likely. So unless you can kill 100 Hell Bovines in the time it takes to kill just ONE monster in the Icy Cellar, I suggest doing Icy Cellar runs.

SO Ebay.God stop giving out idiotic information please, you make these forums look bad.
