I think the lurker was definately the coolest. That was the only unit that would allow me to win 1v6 comp and stuff... too bad my POS CD got wasted and now I can't play BW. I miss Lurker Defense too... that UMS game..... that rocked. So what is your favorite NEW unit in bW? Vote in the poll.

Lurkers rock almost as much as Dark templar :).

dark templar was in the first starcraft though... cept you couldn't make it in melee. But anyways, the only thing that sucks about lurkers is the fact that they are vulnerable to templar's storm... and obviously air. Im kind of hoping that in SC2, they will have more characters like the lurker, that can shoot while burrowed. Perhaps one that only hits air? That would be cool, sorta like a cannon build-in to the ground. While on this topic... what do you think the WORST character is in the expansion? I'd have to go with the corsair. It sucks ass in melee. Valks and devororers own it. Dark archon sucks too, but since it changed the way the game is played, i'll let it slide ;)

i'd have to go with the medic, haha just kidding, yeah the corsair definetly. they're even worse when the comps have them and wont stop using that web thingy.

sairs own...wtf u talkin about on lost temple go dt/sair against a zerg... u micro gg, worst is dark archon...wtf u mean it changes the way the game is played

I meant it changed the whole aspect of the game. Before the dark archon, the max units one could have was 200/200... but with the dark archon coming along, it was possible to have 600/600 (from all diff races). That changed the game completely. I played in melee games 1v1v1v1 before where the games lasted 3 hours and dark archons were the deciding factor (IE, mind controlling an enemies drone and starting awhole new war). Plus... before dark archons came along, it wasn't possible to get the best combination in the game... Guardians + Valkries hehehe.............

Yea Dark Archons are preety cool, but they are kind of hard to use at first, mind controlling is a skill u have to learn, clicking on units and all. But they do lots of damage against the enemy.

Ok im really getting mad at u ppl. Corsairs own. corsairs + devours are a better combo. Plus without mass corsairs u cant cheaply take out an entire zerg food supply. plus disruption web make it the greatest. im one of those players who base their strategy on mainly air (but not just newbie carriers) and mass cosairs use desruption web to get turrets or spores out of the way for me to warp in my zealots and other stuff in with arbiters. arbiters + corsairs is a great combo. they are great for reaver drops cause you dont need gay shuttles, you can just warp + cloak units. and cloaked corasirs are amazing. they supply anti air cover. and lurkers are cool to. dark tmplar just suck, only good for drops and rushes.

Corsairs + Devourers???

They both only hit air... how the fux is that a good combination? One hydra could own 200 devourers... about taking out an entire zerg food supply (which obviously means killing overlords)... valks are much better at doing that. Corsairs are ok at it, but any smart player can easily counter corsairs before they can do any damage to the overlords. Same goes for valks, but valks kill lords faster. Distruption web is alright, but it's the same type of spell as the defiler has... meaning, people just cant be bothered to use it. But the computers usually prove how annoying it can be :) Lastly... dark templars are very good for certain things. If you put 5-6 dark templars just a little bit away from the enemies exit, chances are you will catch him sending units out without sensors and you'll kill a bunch of his guys before he gets detectors out there. This is a strategy I used whenever I was protosss... it works smashing against newbies, cause they will almost always panic and forget about making guys and try and make observers... or else they will mass-cannon. Ez wins :)

omg i never had anyone try that with dt. i always have detectors at ahand. turrets and science vessels. cause im mostly terran. and one hydra cant take em out unless the stupid player push hold position and isnt looking. thats why i use other units. i still say corsairs are good and valks well suck. oh why is disruption web so annoying? i never find it annoying cause if they use it i blow there asses out of the sky with my corsairs or scourge but mostly battlecruisers or cloaked wraiths.

The 1 hydra thing was a figure of speech. Disruption web is annoying cause it's all the computer does. Just cause it's annoying doesn't mean it's not easy to counter... it's just... annoying :)

The dark templar thing works good, im talking about at the beginning of the game man. Just take DT's and put them at the very end of the exit and you'll probably beable to catch a few idiots sending their whole flock of marines out or something. It used to work ;)

i use drop ships to leave the base. i usualy bring the units right into the enemy base from the air. lie drops. the front is usualy nevr used. but i usually patrol the front of the base with like a science vessel. those are realy good. And with the disruption web It shouldn't be to annoying if u counter em fast. but if the comp continuously usese them dont fight em when they are protoss. lol

i dont see how any of u hate the lurk
yes they are annoying at times but they're still fun to use
i also love those lurk d ums

what the.... i am a man who like to play with all 3 races. i am not good at all three mind you. but i like to play with them. I would have to go with valkryie it will stop all air attacks in there tracks and kill all zerg food. then you send in a few bcs and that is that game over you win. it is harder then that though. it just depends on if you are good enough at destroying the enemy before he kills all your valkryies. (as i state the obvious.) =)

you guys r hella wrong corsairs ROCK ZERG FOOD, and u say, "so everyone else in this channel says that too" and i say there even better then any other air killers i.e. valkyrie. The valk is an expensive peice of c**p barely better then the corsair and takes longer too build (i think) the corsiar kill overlords because it can be build really early (as soon as u build a stargate) and most zerg only have about 10 hydra's at ABSOLUTE most by the time u have 2 corsairs... So what im saying only a COMPLETE newb NEVER uses corsiar versus zerg. (and if u micro properly u can dodge 10 hydra's to kill a couple overlords)

What have you been smoking? Any good Zerg players could have way more than that when you get two Corsairs.
