Ok, i want to revive the,"threat of nite city" rp, except this is going to go in a different direction...
First, ill give storyline and then give info on character creation.

(layout of the world is as follows...Its a 6 continent world, 1 medium sized continet to the north called Hannor(forested), 2 interconnecting contenents seperated by the Widow Mountain Range. The Eastern continent is called Vaxia and the western is called Lotheo. These are both immediatly south of Hannor. Surrounded by ocean are the continenets of Xaou, an ancient civilization once inhabitated the island and controlled most of the world 2000 years prior, and it is now empty. The other island is a group of islands much smaller than Xaou, its known as the Dali Islands, the seafaring capital of the world. And finally, a large archipelligo seperating the land mass of Vaxia and Lotheo from Hannor, Thenomal Stepps. Its a hard to navigate access to Hannor from the rest of the world, otherwise Hannor has only one major harbor and one access to the rest of the world. What is little known is the underground passages used by the Ancients of Xaou to travel to both major land masses. got the idea? The moons are different in themselves, Esther is a forest planet with oceans much smaller than Eruans, about 1/12 the size of Eruan. The lunar bas of Efilon was the link between Humans and the Elves in ancient days, this moon is bleak, and much like a giant desert with several mountains. It was settled by great mages of old and warp gates were used to get there from Eruan. The last moon, Dalon is much more a desolate marshland with several wooded areas. This is where the orcs first arrived, and then the mages of Efilon allowed access to Eruan from here and thats how the war started...)
Its the year 3233 on Eruan, a planet that is similar to earth but more of an ancient feel to it. Civilization fell in the year 2500 when an alien invasion by a symbiotic life forms caused a massive civil war between the peoples of the world, humans are the only race at the time, more than 8/12ths of the worlds population were affected by the war, ranging from deaths due to fightings to disease to famine to drought, the war came to an end only because the lunar base on Efilon(one of Eruan's 3 moons) was destroyed by the mysterious race of mutants, later called vampires, whom allied with the humans against the symbiots who later became known as orcs, or 'doomed ones'.
The destruction of the lunar base and half Efilon caused the symbiots to lose their will to fight and peace finally was created for the next 500 years. The major cities were reduced to rubble and now man began to rebuild. The age of enlightenment came at the turn of the millenium when a contigent of elves living on the moon Esther were attacked by the symbiots and were forced to come to mother eruan for safe haven.
The humans accepted alliance with the elves and now the triple alliance was settled. the humans, vampires, and elves were set up to deter any symbiotic attacks in the near future. The elves continually call the symbiots orcs over the next 100 years and the name sticks. The year 3280 rolls along and darkness falls over Eruan once again. The orcs have since colonized whats left of Efilon and the other moons. It turns out they had colonized the 3 moons and built up a large military force. They used crude warp gates between ancient burial grounds in Eruan and the 3 moons(the third moon btw is calld Dalon).
After several conflicts in the North Continent, the Orcs brutally crushed 3 elf villages, 1 human city and the Vampire Capital(im going to give more info on vampires at the bottom). The north contentent of Hannor has been taken as well as the vampire capital city, they are currentally on a losing war and the Humans and Elves are trying to build armies to counter the Orcs.
One of these batallions is called the Dull batallion, a combination of the Vampires, Humans, and Elves(as well as half breeds) Is going to be a small brigade of a few heros who will help end the war with the orcs by entering deep into orc territory. They are of the first generation of batallion prepared to fight the new Orc threat, and will be used in several operations in Hannor and elsewhere when needed.
Notes: Vampires are more of a stealth race(much into hacking and the such. Make good assasin class characters), they were able to defeat the Orcs way back in 2500 because they were able to sneak in and destroy the warp gates.

Human: This race will be trained in the arts of combat, masterswordsmans, warriors, and paladins are the ideal race.
Elf: This race is going to be heavily involved in magic and ranger type classes.
Vampire: Vampires are stealth class, they use mind over force anyday and will outsmart their opponents or use agility to gain the upper hand.
Weapons:
Swords
axes
bows
etc.
Magic(magic is special in this RP):
Alchemy(creates matical scrolls, potions and the such)
Enchantment(effects the world around them with spells that use the current surroundings)
Conjuration(fire, ice, lightning...)
Ill create my character so you have an example:
Name: Thay Maelstrum
Race: Human
Class: Paladin/swordsman(classes will be warrior/axeman or archer/bowman...any weapon that would be appropiate for the class is ok, except magic classes have to be alchemy oriented, enchantment oriented and conjical oriented)
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Appearance: Young, bright paladin of the High Order(go ahead and make orders and such, i dont mind, just make it applicable to the storyline a bit) has been trained with a sword and shield. He has the mark of a paladin with having a well shaven face and short hair. His happens to be brown and his eyes dark blue. He is short for the race of humans but is among the best swordsman in the order of paladins in all of Eruan. Wears steel chain link armor and cloak of the paladin(think boromirs clothes)
History: Was born and raised on the countryside untill his parents sent him off to the Acadamy to beome a master swordsman with the warriors guild. Was turned down for being 20 lbs underweight. The Paladin guild accepted him and had him trained right away on swordcraft provided he hoe the fields with the rest of the order. Slowly he rose in rank with the other paladins and was eventually drafted into the Dull Batallion for his swordsmanship and healing skills.
