One of my friends who has been able to play diablo (and warcraft 3) for a long time suddenly starts getting an error message and it won't let him play at all. He was a bit high when I asked him about it, and all he would tell me was that the error message had the word "3D" in it. I'm sorry I have so little information, but it's all I could get. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

Get him to reinstall d2, it fix's 99% of the shit.

NVR heared of that error message. Heared of the unhandled exception, u sure ur friend doesnt have a trojan or sumthing?

ok i think i had that problem too
now how i fixed it is
go to the programfiles/diablo II/video test
after the test your computer will prolly say direct 3d but dont click that and click the other one direct draw 2d and it worked

i had problem with directdraw. it was something with the netmeeting. close it down and it should work (if that wus prob)
