Yes, look for a tavern. The heros there cost the same amount as regular heros.

taverns are sweet... do taverns have monsters around them to creep... for something reason i can't remember.

not all maps have a tavern,but pit lord sucks dont get it,onlu good neuteral heroes are NAGA,DR,and Beast master

I'm trying anything I can think of to counter the Humans Towers and mortar teams! They are tough!

-Turtle rock (tavern is there) and more TFT maps.

OT: To counter mortar teams as UD, go for:
- mass gargs
- statues
- necros
- corpse wagon.
- some fiends.

Thanks again! I also found that a frost wyrm can kill a mortar team in one shot, and I used them along with abominations to take down the towers. I'll check out turtle rock and gnoll wood too.

Its good to look for them especially DR because DR is very useful with UD.Using fiends and with the dark arrow making minions works.A good tier1 strat

I really appreciate all of your suggestions and I'm not worried so much about getting a pit lord anymore anyway. I love this game though and I am trying to get good at it! thanks!
