Hydra Bow has a slightly wider damage range, but equal average damage. It also has MUCH higher requirements.

The 5 Max Damage may not seem to be a lot on the bow, but when ED is calculated in, it is a big difference. Hydra > Crusader.

Doesnt the same apply to the 5 Min Damage as well? Like i said...the average damage is the same.

You said it best yourself. Crusader Bows are more consistant damage wise, and have lower requirements. For silence, Crusader is the only way to go.

Here's another thing to think about. The 37 str you save by using a Crusader Bow can go to dex and increase the dmg even more.

Yea, but Hydra's are more flaunty. Hell, I made a Silence Hydra bow and sold it for 16 hex (to a guppie). Then, I made a Silence Crusader and the top I sold it to that guys friend (even though he had more) was about 9 hex worth.

Ppl seem to like hydra bows a lot due to the fact that everyone fav, windforce, is a hydra bow. Not a lotta ppl like eaglehorn. Btw...since when did silence bows sell for more than 8 hexes?

too bad bows dont benefit from indestructible. bows should have durability...doesnt the string ever snap?

The only reason for using a hydra bow, is if your gonna use a -%req storm on switch. Whats one more point in str.

hydra bow

10-68 dmg

10 * 4 = 40 min dmg +1*

68 * 4 = 272 max dmg +1*

average = 157

Crusader bow

15-63

15 * 4 = 60 min dmg +1*

63 * 8 = 256 max dmg +1*

average = 159

so crusader > hydra

well if you have +min dmg items the hydra will be better...

the enhanced damage modifier goes before +min damage, so it really doesnt matter.

not really, since if oyu have +min items, they would also wokr on the crusader. meaning using the hydra with +30 min dmg makes its average dmg go up by 15. But doing the same with the crusader makes its min dm go u by 15. So crusader > hydra.

jeez who cares how it looks? if it gets the job done then it good. the other day i tried to sel my 160/60 chaos armor and some pally said he was gonna buy it then he said ooo chaos armor not sexy enough. i was like r u a tard? its just as good as ne other armor u stupid ass. well neways i prefer crusader cuz it alot more min dmg so when u hit ur flaT MIN ur not doin lik 2 dmg. well just my opinion
