So, this is probably an immoral and illegal idea, but I like it.
Since we seem to love to guess when the next famous person will die, or watch closely those who we feel should have died a long time ago, how about making it interesting?
We could use PayPal and LiveJournal for this.
Each person puts in, for example, $5, through PayPal. They then enter the celebrity they guess will die first. When the next celebrity dies, the person who chooses the right corpse wins the pool (less any PayPal expenses.) If there are multiple winners, net proceeds are equally divided. If no one is right, the money rolls over and the pool starts again...another $5, another vote.
Is this bad?
