At midnight on September 25, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria hits shelves at retail locations around the world, ushering in a bold new age of exploration, and bringing heroes of the Horde and the Alliance to the shores of an exotic new frontier.
To help kick off your journey, our friends at Machinima.com will be live streaming the North American launch party, where Blizzard developers will be celebrating the arrival of the expansion with players. The live stream begins at 9 p.m. PDT, so mark your calendars and watch it live here.
If you happen to be in Southern California that evening, come on down to the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, California and join us in person for the launch festivities hosted in partnership with GameStop. The event begins at 9 p.m. on the evening of September 24 and features loot giveaways, special guests, and live entertainment -- including a Challenge Mode duel between Blizzard employees and Blood Legion, a top World of Warcraft raiding guild.
Box signings begin at midnight PDT on September 25. Both the standard edition and Collector's Edition will be available for purchase at the launch event -- though quantities are limited and will be available on a first come, first-served, basis so be sure to arrive early to secure your copy. You'll be able to complete your purchase on the evening of September 24 and then trade in your receipt for a copy of the game at midnight on September 25.
