Average Ping

What should the average ping for 56k is?
Im j/w i have cable but used to have 56k and my old ping was around 500+ is that normal? cuz my cuzin is runnin 56k and his ping is like 200

Normal 56k was 200-300 for me. With broadband, pings aren't really existant... with a ping of <100, it's almost impossible to tell that you have a ping at all.

i must have screwed up my ping cos i got cable now and im usually running 200+ thats not right must be something stuffed wit my connection anyone know how to reduce me ping?

ya there are several tuts on the net for console comand to reduce lag in cs. also sort servers by ping, put good ones in favorites. close other progs. i have 30 ping on most servers, with dsl
