I finally started playing D2 again this week and this is what happens today..

I just can't figure out what I would've downloaded, because I've only downloaded C3PO, D2Loader and RGX mod - two of the three I've used in the past [RGX is new, but I got it from the same repuatable site]

Is there anything I can do other than keep trying to randomly get on and then leave it on? :hbut :hbut :hbut :hbut

That's what I was thinking, but there is absolutely no way to get back on to my key without them logging off, which uh.. could be awhile. :-/

its very possible that someone took your cd out of the box (at the store) and just wrote down the cd key and put it back

You could be using your own cd key (this has already happened to me)

This usualy happens when you alt+F4 the game, instead of leaving "save and exit"

That, too. Lots of possibilities. But then wouldn't he recognize the name he put in when installing D2?

Yeah thats a high possibility, bring up the task manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) and look under applications or processes for Game.exe, if it is there end the process and then open up D2.

I was going to say it's the ''You're using your own CD Key'' thing, that's happened to me a lot and honest to god I could never find out why for the life of me...but now I know why and it makes sense. >_<

if after a few mins it is still telling you that you are using your own cdkey then something actually is wrong.

the regular error we get when it says that is just Bnet trying to catch up to an irregular way of exiting most likely.
