Why are you all getting so technical.
because he wants to tune up his video card

I bet my bottom dollar he's got too much shit running ar once. So many people open up like, MSN Messenger, AIM, a media player, some browsers, a game or two, and leave them all running!

It eats up your RAM, so don't do it, only have Warcraft run and maybe AIM (or another messnger program), and I'm sure your game will become less choppy.

at his 640 RAM I doubt an aim or msn would count, but movie player if he has it's a problem because that require first of all northbridge directly CPU resources. I still say it's incompatibility

You mean that u can play wc3 and at the same time your pc can process a movie?
because if it like this u have a very good pc

An application takes up RAM to run. If you have more programs running, less RAM to be devoted to one specific program, therefore it doesn't run properly.

May I ask why it would be a compatability issue?

no shit. you guys, Im not retarted, I spent every day lerning new computer stuff. My video card, for the last time, NIVIDA geforce 6200 256Mb of RAM, if you want technical specs, ask, becuase I have a program that tells alot about my computer. Its called Everest. Here are the Nvidia specs.

Field Value
Video Adapter Properties
Device Description NVIDIA GeForce 6200
Adapter String GeForce 6200
BIOS String Version 5.44.A2.03.00
Chip Type GeForce 6200
DAC Type Integrated RAMDAC
Installed Drivers nv4_disp (6.14.10.7772 - nVIDIA ForceWare 77.72)
Memory Size 256 MB

Video Adapter Manufacturer
Company Name NVIDIA Corporation
Product Information http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=products
Driver Download http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Also, could it be the 4x transfer rate? My MOBO cant support 8x. But I highly doubt Warcraft 3 really needs a 2.1 GB Transfer rate, I think war3 can manage with a 1.1 GB tansfer rate. Also, could it be the AGP Apeture size? beucase the Ap. Size is 64mb, but can be set to 256mb in the BIOS.

It really shouldnt be choppy...Is it choppy on Bnet or during skirmishes agains the pc? It really could be a problem with your video card driver. Get the latest one from Nvidia.

Why are you GETTING SO TECHNICAL!!!! heh, the problem isnt that big of a deal. Go to blizzard tech support...Im sure there is some common answer...

incompatibility for application not hardware incompatibility.
Rambus memory is designed especially for Intel.

I asked u to tell me the full name, 6200 is just the chip and the memory is the memory but u didn't said the brand of the card, of the card, not of the chip.
I mean look it could be: Leadtek, MSI, Asus, Gainward............

Yeah, quit d/ling your porn or whatever and it'll run fine. Having a program like WinMX or Morpheus or Azerus open drags most online games down a ton.

Also, if you have any background scans going (a lot of the time people don't even know they have it going on) it'll bog it down

Like the title stated, why is my warcraft III so choppy? Im a very smart person with computers, I bought warcraft III awhile ago, I had 640MB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz Processor. I also had a 32MB Geforce 2 Video card. I didnt like the quality of the card, so I spent nearly 300$ in a New, Nvidia Geforce 6200 256MB card, and its still choppy!!! But not "as" choppy. What's going on? Theres like 10x more Video RAM than the box says it needs. Ugg, Im so P*ssed off, I spent 300$ for nothing, my Warcraft III RES. is at 1024x768x32, (I am no way turning it down) and everything else is at HIGH/ON. I need some assistance.
I have just the antidote, run these programs and others located at this link:

http://chaosfootmen.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?t=195

This should fix up your system GOOD, especially crap cleaner, please PM me if this helps. Also, your video card could be the problem, that one looks old, so that might be the problem. If you are downloading apps in the background or if you have system mechanic, that will slow you down.

Have a nice day and I hope that works.

not really, there are some common issues...you dont have to "ask them" just go to their site and see the common issues...
Or do a google search on your topic....I remember that helped me once.

Yeah but the common issues are kinda common sense. Liek when 0x8Es (unhandled exceptions) were going around, none of the stuff they had really helped. So I ended up adding on to Ntrik's information with real debuggers.

Quicksilver, BE QUIET! It is incredibl anoying when someone posts something dumb and obvious.(No offense) Like Hellwolf said, Tech Support on blizzard can usually be solved by common sense. This is a video card issue. Or maybe CPU, becuase the L1 and L2 cache's are pretty low.

PS, that crap cleaner hardly worked whatsoever. Plus, it completely FU***ED my MSN and half my internet browsers because it destroyed my Proxy server.

Still nothing about that brand

U could reinstall the operating system, for these other issues, or if u have some mainboard mainteinance and overclocking programs installed, uninstall or reinstall them.
Also check your CPU temperature, system temperature.....
