ME and my friend played it the other day. It is unbearable to play if you have played WC3.

I thought the original C&C was better than Warcraft.

Warcraft 1 was an amazing game, especialy for the time it was made. I played it a few months ago, to refresh myself on the story of Warcraft 3

Then its gotta be C&C. I only liked Warcraft 3 because of the gameplay. I can't wait for SC 2. ;)

After playing TFT for a long time, I went back and beat WC2 and Beyond the Dark Portal.. I recall feeling very cold after that unpleasent experience with flat, South Park-construction-paper-graphics. My ears can still hear Grom Hellscream sounding like a Goblin Zeppelin...

It also came out years after.

I bought that game after I bought WC2, but before WC3. I loved it. Took me for freaking ever to beat it, it's so easy to just mass something ranged, and just own them. But the later Orc levels are effing hard, tons of knights. :(

I've occasionally popped it in an played it just for the hell of it, but I havent played it much. Its probibly been a year. The WCI was before my time; I started with WC2. The first ones still fun to play occasionally, but if you want old school warcraft stick to WC2. My computer still runs WC1 except I don't get any sound. The only way I can get sound is to use my old crappy laptop that has a crappy soundcard thats so bad its actually compatable with the game.

Read this sir. 1 (one) year separated their release dates. ;)

They happened about the same time regardless, I just can't enjoy a game that old. I couldn't even get into Dune 2, even though that is older than Warcraft. They just have no features whatsoever. The newer ones are much better because they have features that make the game less "boring tasks" and more fun. :p

I think C&C was a huge leap in terms of features. Selecting 4 units at a time has its extreme disadvantages. =/
