Just remember it can only repel one spell then it has to cooldown. Just hope that it is an ultimate or something, or you can simply smack him with a crap spell, so he blows his shield then hack him with the ultimate.

If you wanna stack antimage's spell resistance you can get planeswalker's cloak and Linken's sphere. And a hyperstone always goes well with a basher.

Yeah, more mana to summon bombs and possibly blow yourself up. But if you need to blow yourself up, make sure you will get profit out of it, or it will be a lost cause.

Make sure you use Mana Void at the right time, like when the person has lots of mana you can fry. Otherwise, you will be wasting a good ultimate. Try to also get some shots on the enemy with your Feedback passive, this will prevent him or her from using mana against you.

Actually, its more common sense than it is "getting the hang of it".

Just as using Toss to throw a person back towards towers or behind.
Or getting Power Treads at the start.

And how well you can play and employ damage and strategies without dying too much. Some heroes I can, some I can't.

For the Bone Fletcher, here's what I usually do:

Items:
Power Treads
Stygian Desolator OR Butterfly (Stygian Desolator if the enemy heroes have low health)
Soul Booster (Get the Energy Booster first if you cannot afford the entire thing on the dot)

Optional items are:
Yasha (unless the game is 4v4 or 5v5, in which case I skip it)
Ring of Regeneration (if the heroes are giving me a hard time)
Mask of Madness (for the same reason, but remember, with Stygian, it screws up)
Hand of Midas (is a cheap Butterfly in essence, but is optional)
Guinsoo's Scythe of Vase (Hex + focus fire)

Spells:
Strafe
Wind Walk
Strafe
Wind Walk
Strafe
Wind Walk (Yes, skip the ultimate. It simply requires too much mana.)
Strafe
Wind Walk
Searing Arrows
Death Pact (Only if you have at least an Energy Booster, otherwise Attribute Bonus)
Finish off this build yourself depending on how the game goes

The trick is to just build up your attack speed so that you become imbalanced with Strafe. A Butterfly, with Power Treads, Yasha and Hand of Midas, combined with Strafe, is so imbalanced almost nothing can fight against it. Combined with your hexing ability, this creates an ultimate killing machine.

The only drawback is that the Bone Fletcher has painfully low health. A Soul Booster, with a Mask of Madness (skipping Stygian Desolator), with your imbalanced attack rate, will make up for this easily.

And... To finish off... The Bone Fletcher's cooldown time with the above combo is:

2 as the default cooldown rate (approximate)
x.75 for the Butterfly
x.75 for the Hand of Midas
x.85 for the Power Treads
x.9 for the Yasha
x.2 for the Level 4 Strafe
=0.172125 seconds, MINUS any further attribute bonus and agility bonuses you gain (I believe it's .01 for every agility point you have).

This works out to about 5.81 attacks per second. Since your Bone Fletcher has about 80 damage in mid-game, this becomes 464.8 damage per second.

You can skip Yasha and Hand of Midas for Stygian Desolator, and you will also become ridiculous in the early-middle game. The Butterfly route is for middle-late game.*

Dota, the way I play, is simple. I always but boots first for str and int chars. Most agility chars have higher movespeeds and thus don't need the bonus as badly. My favorite starting item is hands down the bracer. The bracer probides a mediocre mana and attack speed boost, but provides a solid hp boost which is imperative for early game. I disagree strongly that razor is a shitty hero killer. After level 6, he can farm like no other character in the game, enabling him to get godly items. Only a noob razor even gets chain lighting to level 17. Razor, at level 10, needs the HP provided by the attribute bonus. For the record, that is one of the worst strategys I have ever seen for clinks. A solid strat would be;

Items (In no particular order):
Buriza
Desolator or Maelstrom
Treads

The items generally come in order of need. My usual progression goes boots, gloves, treads. Then blades of attack, broadsword, crys recipe. Then mithril, mithril, deso. Then demon edge buriza. If need be, you can add in a few bracers when needed.

The skill build:
1. WW
2. Strafe
3. Strafe
4. WW
5. Strafe
6. Death pact (Reguardless of what x42bn6 says, it can and will save you.)
7. Strafe
8. WW
9. WW
10. Stats
11. Death pact
12-15. Stats.
16. Death pact
17-21. Stats
22-25 Searing Arrows.

If you go maelstrom, your emphasis is on farming. If you go deso, you are a more focused hero killer.

Always remember, despite the nature of your hero, every hero can be made into something else. For example, some use gondar as a nuker, with shuriken, and dagon, he nukes for 700 dmg after the initial backstab of 80 (in addition to regular damage). Also, nothing beats permastun, it is the trump card of dota. It can be acheived with any melee char, although chars with bash are highly preferred. Troll Warlord is known as the best permastunner in dota. CRAINUM BASHERS STACK, DON'T STOP AT ONE IF YOU'RE GOING FOR PERMASTUN.
