I need some help here

ok so i installed, d2 and d2 LOD, and i try to patch and it says...

ERROR: unable to load file 'Bnclient.dll' from archive
The system cannot find the file specified.

RESULT: Patch failed


i look in the D2 folder and the bnclient.dll is there... wtf should i do here

I'd reinstall and repatch. Usually does the trick.

I don't know, I don't play D2, it's just usually what gets it working. It could ever be your cd for that matter.

Clean your disk, if it doesnt work, buy new ones.

Yep. Reinstall and patch it. If that doesn't work, it might be your CD's.

The loader has nothing to do with YOUR PROBLEM. But, if your CD is scratched over the file Bnclient.dll just enough to corrupt it, it will still install, but not update. Im sure you could just download that file somewhere :rolleyes

loader doesnt work for 1.07.
he would have to download a 1.07 loader for it to work.

how did you obtain the patch? from a website or did you get it automatically when you tried to connect to bnet? try getting the patch from bnet's automatic shit.

maybe you downloaded the wrong patch. Maybe you downloaded the patch for d2 instead of the lod patch or you forgot to install lod and installed the lod patch...

but iirc the version of diablo2.exe changes to 1.07 when you install LOD correct me if im wrong. and obviously that patch is for LOD coz it says so.
