Sacrifices were a great part of early paganism, actually.

At least this noob got banned.

That's actually one of the most amusing things I've read this month.
He's not really a noob. I respect him for sticking to his beliefs...however I disagree with his beliefs if that makes any sense.

Yeah, the complex development of many organisms is kinda exactly what evolution/generational mutation explains.
Being a biology major, Ive taken many courses dealing with the body's/cells anatomy. Most processes could not have developed sequentially through random mutations because most biochemical activities require a series of interdependent events/reacting molecules. In other words, if you were to remove 1 reacting molecule the whole system would fail.

Taligaro look at the first definition...polytheistic means : the doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods.

Ancient greeks and romans used to believe in many gods and also used to make sacrafices to them. They might have also attempted some sort of witchcraft for all i know. So if some one calls you a pagan, he is probably refering to the first definition AND the ancient practices...

All I was saying is that evolution and genetic mutation result in a wide range of varied species of complex organisms.

A) That makes perfect sense.
B) He's a noob because he isn't sticking up for his beliefs, he's trying to emulate a ****ing tele-evangalist and tell everyone to repent or burn in non-existant hell. I'd say he put the "fun" in "fundamentalism", but he clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

Until I am visited by God or His messengers, I'm afraid I cannot accept Him. I find it hard to accept that I have to believe in someone because my religion says if I don't, I will suffer for eternity. I call that blackmail. The only thing I believe in is myself - and that has worked well for me.*
it's just like asking a president of a country to visit you.
or His messengers
they have left many prophecies and miracles before they die.

I believe in God only because,it gives me hope.

How could you live without believeing in God and heaven ?

I've tried to become an athiest but,I got depressed lol.

well.. it would be nice to die and go somewhere with no suffering, but im not going to spend my life trying to get there by pleasing someone/thing I can't really KNOW exists. I don't want to think of this so called god fellow as being some wrathfull ass. if there is a god don't you think he would just want people to be happy? well..... I do at least. also who is anyone to say "if you don't belive in this then you will suffer" I think just being a good person is what makes me happy. I don't need to cling to the idea that something better is waiting for me. the present is all I have. could there be a god? sure there could, but he isn't found in a book. really, no one is all knowing. you can't be SURE that there is only one way, one god, one place to get to. I do think that the only resson many people belive in god is bec uase it was passed down through familly. really religion seems more like tradition to me.
and if you want to talk about brainwashed fools, let us discuss the mormans...

I was reffering to socalist. I find socalist to be weak, I can take care of myself I don't need the government to help me.
The argentinian government is not socialist. It's capitalist in the economical sense and peronista in the politic sense. My city is socialist but that doesn't mean the city government gives me a free car for me to use. I can take care of myself, too. It's great here, because it's a merge between socialism and capitalism. It's a kind of a mix and works wonders, at least in my city.

edit: hey, did anyone take a look on greek gods? Those are legit gods. Even though I dislike and don't believe in any religions in general, I find greek religion the most believable one.
I would have loved to see romans kick christians' ass back in years 50BC - 400AD. Too bad christian followers had been growing too much in those years. And flooded the poor pagans :(, like the Uruk-Hai in Helm's Deep LOL. Well, that was offtopic.
