ok hears the question I can get a ps2 for like a $100 at a local shop, but the new consoles are coming out soon. should I just wait and get a PS3/360 or should I go ahead and get the ps2?

The PS3 will be completely backwards compatible anyways. i say wait.

I'd go with a PS2 cuz Sony is always making delays and chances are they'll delay the PS3 release
