~Commonly Used Warcraft Vocabulary~
Micro: The way of using multiple units and buildings in a simple and effective way. Example: using the hot keys to setup units on the numbers at the top of the key board. This will let you select units without mousing them over. The system also lets you use casters more effectively. Mircoing is also the casting of spells and using hero skills.
Rushing; Rushing can mean many things. From hero rushing, to unit rushing. Hero rushing is more like sending one hero in the start of the game to attack workers/ buildings being built. The unit rush is building units fast and then sending them into battle early into games.
Hotkeys: Hotkeys and make a good start for building at the start of the games. There are also ways to set up units onto a key number. Exp. Having your group of casters on the #1 key. Common gameplay hotkeys.

Unit types: There are 4 different kinds of unit types. Melee, Ranged, Air, and Casters.
Melee: The units that are always upfront in the battle, units that are hand-to-hand in fighing. Units such as Footman, Grunts, Druids of the Claw, and Ghouls are examples of melee units.
Ranged: The units that fight from a distance. Units such as Archers, Hunts (Yes, they are ranged,) Fiends, and Riflemen are ranged units.
Air: Self-explaining... Units such as Gargoyles, Wyverns (Wind Riders (TFT),) Hippogryphs, and Gryphon Riders are air units.
Casters: These units cast spells to help your team out with postive effects, or cast negitive effects on your enemies. Units such as Witch Doctors, Shamans, Priests, Necromancers, and Druid of the Talon are caster units.

Teching (Teiring): This is the upgrading of any buildings that can be upgraded. Example would be the town halls or towers.
Harassment (Warcraft Style): Using heroes or a few units to keep on messing around with your opponents. This can keep him from thinking about building, or just piss them off and leave the game. This requires micro because yourself needs to keep building while doing hit and runs.
Tomes and Items: Tomes are books that help your hero become more powerful, faster, and smarter. Items can help with many different things. Example: Gem of True Seeing (RoC shop) can see invisible units such as Shades, wards and the Blademaster in wind walk.

Creeping: Creeping means to attack “neutral hostile†creatures on the map. Creeping helps you get some nice items and tomes while leveling your hero. In TFT you can only creep to level 5. With the new upgrade to warcraft. The creeps level of difficulty is determand in three colors on the minimap.
Green: An easy creep. Some heros can do it by themselves. Most of the time have 1 or 2 units with you.
Orange: The middle level creep, always around most 1st expansion (Expo) gold mines. You will need your hero and more teir one units in order to creep this mine.
Red: These are the hardest creeps on the map. You will need alot of good teir one, two, or three units in order to creep this out. These creeps drop the best items.

Upgrading: Using the building that can upgrade and units armor and attack power. People use the terms 1-1 and 2-3. This means what the person has upgraded. Strength would be the first number and armor would be the second. The system can only go up to 3-3.
If you are building ranged units, you are more likely want to upgrade the ranged attack power. If you are going melee units. Armor is a good choice for upgrading more.
