Or at least after I fix it....

Due to the mass confusion amongst the masses about the Counter-Strike weapons, I decided to compile this little database....(and so I could learn more about the cs weapons)

Pistols
Heckler und Koch USP .45 Tactical - German made, this semi-automatic .45 caliber pistol features a 12 round clip and a threaded barrel for the attachment of a silencer. It boasts relatively high power and accuracy. Cost: $500(CT starting pistol). Abbreviations: USP. Misnomers: Colt USP

Glock18 Select Fire - One of the more widespread pistols in the world, the Glock18 is a law enforcement version of the Glock with low caliber 9mm Luger rounds and the option of semi-auto, burst fire, and automatic fire(although automatic fire is not available in CS). Available with 10, 17, 19, and 31 round clips(and surprisingly NOT the 20 round clip featured in CS) this gun makes up for its lack of power with large magazine size. Cost: $400(T starting pistol). Abbreviations: Glock. Misnomers: none.

Magnum Research Inc. Desert Eagle .50 Action Express - Virtually a miniature hand-cannon, this .50 caliber magnum pistol is an innovation of itself, boasting the ability to blow an enemy apart with each shot. The immense power of this pistol is limited somewhat by its 7 round clip, but it is still a deadly tool in the hands of any. Cost: $700. Abbreviations: Desert Eagle, DEagle. Misnomers: none.

SigSauer P228 - A powerful and deadly accurate handgun, the P228 featured in CS is actually the P229 model with a P228 sized clip. Firing .357 SIG rounds, this pistol packs a good sized punch for its immense accuracy. Cost: $650. Abbreviations: P228. Misnomers: none.

Dual Beretta 96G Elites - Actually the Berretta 92G pistol, this akimbo configuration of two Glock like pistols is rather ineffective. Although the magazine size of 15 is doubled to 30, and the rate of fire practically doubled as well, the 9x19 mm Luger rounds of these inaccurate and weak pistols makes them a waste of money. Cost: $1000(T only). Abbreviations: Dualies, Dual Elites, Dual Berettas. Misnomers: Dual Glocks.

Fabrique National Five-seveN - Large magazine size, moderate accuracy, and the ability to render kevlar vests practically useless at ranges under 100-300 meters(depending on vest type) with its 5.6x28mm SG190 ammunition prove this pistol a versitile weapon both as sidearm and primary weapon. Cost: $750(CT only). Abbreviations: Five-seveN, 5-7. Misnomers: none

Shotguns
Benelli M3 Super 90 - This 12 gauge beast of a shotgun holds 8 3 inch shells, capable of tearing apart enemies from short to medium range. The spread makes it fairly accurate, although decreasing at range, and the pump style action virtually eliminates recoil induced inaccuracy. Cost: $1700. Abbreviations: Shotty, Pump Shotty, M3, Benelli. Misnomers: M1.

Benelli XM1014/M4 Super 90 - Standardly an extremely versitile shotgun, the M4 fires six 2 3/4 round shells with semi-automatic speed. However, due to the popular demand for an "auto" shotgun, the makers of CS converted it to a 7 round fully automatic shotgun. Although lacking the extreme power of the M3, it is quite capable of unloading vast amounts of still deadly shells in a very short amount of time, making it more usefull against multiple enemies. Cost: $3000. Abbreviations: Auto Shotty, XM, M4, M1014. Misnomers: none

Sub Machine Guns
Heckler und Koch MP5-Navy - Firing 30 rounds of 9x19mm Parabellum at 800 rpm, this extremely popular machine gun features remarkable accuracy, low recoil, and a fast rate of fire and reload. For its cheap price it is quite a remarkable weapon, although a little on the low end as far as damage dealt, especially to kevlar. Cost: $1500. Abbreviations: MP5, MP5Navy, Navy. Misnomers: none.

Steyr Tactical Machine Pistol - This compact machine pistol boasts neither power nor accuracy, and despite its small caliber (9x19mm Luger) suffers greatly from recoil, due especially to the fact that it can only be fired from the offhand position(no stock). The 30 round clip is deceptively small, due to inaccuracy, extremely low damage, and high RoF. The attached silencer only tends to heighten these disadvantages. Can be usefull for jumping around corners, releasing a flurry of bullets at an opponent's head/chest, and not being heard, but not much else. Cost: $1250(CT only). Abbreviations: TMP. Misnomers: none.

Fabrique National P90 - Armor penetrating bullets and lots of them, quickly. That is the primary objective of the P90, and it acheives it, disposing of 50 rounds of armor piercing 5.6x28mm SS190 at an impressive rate of 900+ rpm. The fastest firing gun in CS(although technically slower than the MAC-10 irl), and it shows in the lack of accuracy, both initial and sustained. Cost: $2350. Abbreviations: P90. Misnomers: none.

Ingram MAC-10 - Although similar in concept to the Steyr TMP, the MAC-10 fufills its objectives much more successfully. It fires 30 .45 caliber ACP rounds at a blistering speed of 1100 rpm, making it the most powerful SMG. Its foldable buttstock can be retracted to provide higher accuracy, and its widespread firing patterns can be usefull in eliminating or damaging multiple enemies simultaneously. Cost: $1400(T only). Abbreviations: MAC-10, M10. Misnomers: Uzi, Mini/Micro Uzi.

Heckler und Koch UMP-45 - Combining the raw power of the MAC-10 with accuracy, the UMP has a smaller clip(25 rounds), and a slower rate of fire(650 rpm), but succeeds all other SMGs in range and accuracy. Cost: $1700. Abbreviations: UMP-45, UMP. Misnomers: none.

Assault Rifles
Israel Military Industries Galil Assault Rifle - Unavailable at this time. (I dont have 1.6 yet)

Avtomat Kalishnikov AK-47 - The highest caliber assault rifle in CS, the AK-47 rips things apart at a whopping 7.62x39mm. the 30 rounds contained in a clip are enough to, if used conservatively, eliminate a half score of enemies. Although accurate in single shots or bursts, the high caliber creates immense recoil, making sustained fire impractical. Cost: $2500(T only). Abbreviations: AK-47, AK. Misnomers: AK-74.

SIG SG-552 Commando - Similar to the M4A1 in firepower and RoF, the SG-552 features an attached 2x scope for medium range sniping. It trades off sustained accuracy for initial precision, making the scope worthwhile. Cost: $3500(T only). Abbreviations: SIG, SG-552, Commando Misnomers: Kreig, Kreig552.

GIAT FAMAS Assault Rifle - Unavailable at this time. (I dont have 1.6 yet)

Colt M4A1 Carbine - A versitile weapon, with a fast firing rate, average power and accuracy, and good range. Its optional silencer lowers the effectiveness, but provides . . .silence. The spread pattern is excellent for distance shooting and eliminating enemies in one burst. Cost: $3100(CT only). Abbreviations: M4A1, Colt. Misnomers: M16.

Steyr Aug - An accurate bullpup-configured 5.56mm rifle, the Aug comes standard with a 1.5x scope and 30 round magazines. The Aug has a long range, especially with the scope, and features good accuracy and reliability at the expense of RoF. Cost: $3500(CT only). Abbreviations: Steyr, Aug. Misnomers: Bullpup.

Sniper Rifles
Steyr Scout Tactical - The Steyr Scout sniper rifle is a converted hunting rifle. Firing 10 7.62mm NATO rounds with bolt-action accuracy and a 2.5x scope, the Scout is a versitile sniper rifle, with good power and accuracy, and a lightweight and compact frame to promote shorter distance sniping. The scope in the CS Scout has been swapped out for a 2x-10x zoom scope, increasing the range of effectiveness. Cost: $2750. Abbreviations: Scout, Steyr. Misnomers: none.

Accuracy International Arctic Warfare Super Magnum - A medium caliber magnum sniper rifle, the Super Magnum is a deadly tool. Firing 8.6x70mm Magnum rounds via a 3-12x zoom scope, the AW SM has immense anti-personell power and excellent accuracy. The Super Magnum is one of several variants to the AW sniper rifle, including the Arctic Warfare Police(AWP), the Arctic Warefare Suppressed(AWS), and the Arctic Warfare Folding(AWF). Cost: $4750. Abbreviations: AW SM. Misnomers: AWP, AWM.

Heckler und Koch G3/SG-1 Sniper Rifle - This sniper rifle is essentially a semi-automatic scout with a 20 round clip, and slightly decreased accuracy. Although made fully automatic for CS, in all respects the fully auto fire is fully useless. Cost: $4200(T only). Abbreviations: G3, SG-1. Misnomers: none.

SIG SG-550 Sniper Rifle - Nearly exactally similar to the G3/SG-1, the SG-550 sniper rifle fires 30 7.62mm NATO rounds in a semi-auto fashion, with a double zoom scope averaging around 2x-10x zoom. Made into a fully auto sniper in CS, its accuracy is once again lowered for the sake of "coolness". Cost: $5000(CT only). Abbreviations: SG-550. Misnomers: none.

Machine Guns
Fabrique National M249 Para - A compact "Paratrooper" version of the M249, this beast features 100 round box magazines, 7.62mm rounds, and good initial accuracy. Like the AK, the recoil is massive, and madates firing in bursts. Excellent support weapon. Cost: $5750. Abbreviations: M249, Para, Minimi. Misnomers: M60.
