i can't figure out how to use nukes. with terran in broodwar.

Make sure you have its requirements.(there are alot of 'em)
Tech tree - wise:

Barracks
Factory
Starport
Science Facility with covert ops add on(Be sure to research cloak and ocular implants)
Command Center with nuke silo
Build nuke in the silo(and you need 8 supply units for this)

You should have a ghost, too.

Select a ghost, press 'n' , then select your target.

perfectly right, just make sure to move your ghost a little out of the way, if he is too close to the blast he will explode as well

and execute the nukes o workers/units/ low hp buildings like supple depots, other than that(bigger buildings) you will waste it, well except if you have plenty of nukes.
