Reign, since when was Halo a NES game? Yeah, I thought so.

I also recommend 'A Boy and His Blob'. It's another NES game - unless I'm going senile. And it was a classic. Super Mario 3 was also great.

You could also try the 'hacked' Super Mario World for NES.

anyways, a few fun games imo:

Rampage - How the hell could u guys forget this? loads of fun...
Contra - Classic
Double Dragon 1, 2, and 3 [3 is a bit difficult, but 1 is hella fun]
Final Fantasy series [tot his day i havnt beat FF1 on the NES, and god help me ive tried.]
Rampart - Fun game for 2 players, basically you build up castle walls, place cannons in your fortress and destroy each others castles, simple concept, addictive gameplay
-Ikari Warriors1,2, and 3 - fun 2 player birds eye view shooter
-Bionic Comando - Great game for its time, really fun
-Mario3 - Great game
-Super Mario Bros - classic
-1942 - great airplane game, classic.
-Castlevania - Classic

Yeah, it was hacked because the NES is, apparently, still really popular in Asian countries. Dragnskull's list seems pretty good to me.

Bubble bubble was the least violent game I've ever seen, but still a lot of fun.
