Where is the 'outter glow' affect


and the effect where on most sigs.. have the darker transparency behind their name. Usually grey.
i tried the rectangle tool

For the outer glow, an easy way to do it is have the image on a seperate layer (IE the guy in his image) and just put a Stroke on it.

BTW; That's not the rectangle tool, thats the quickmask tool. The rectangle tool is 2 above the magnify lense, and one above the eyedropper.

i know about the rectangle toll.. i use the rectangle tool and klik the thing that i have the arror pointing towards it. how ya do it?

Well for the glow, get the image you want to have a glow on a new layer, right click it, choose blending options, then outer glow. change the colors and size and stuff.

For the rectangular thing, make a rectangle with the selection tool in a new layer, fill it with a color, change the opacity. But thats just me.
