Irc trouble someone help plz

unable to resolve irc server thats the error i get...... and i did it right i followed the instructions just as it said to

ok here connect to dal net first off so i know u can connect to something.. then type:
/server -m casino-city.us.zerolimit.net -j #BF-BNetHacking

ur choice the -m opened a new service window if you want to disconnect from dalnet and go striaght to battle forums channel use:

/server casino-city.us.zerolimit.net -j #BF-BNetHacking

and if your wondering why it casino-city cause u might not be able to connect though the normal one and this is the one i connect though .. gl

im getting the same error, and i cant connect to irc.dal.net or coins.dal.net

edit: it wont let me connect to any of the dal.net's

hmm try what i posted it working for me... are you using proxies? cause once i tried to connect though one and it gave me the connection refused.. if your STILL having trouble try to conenct to reandom servers like EFnet and $hit..

ok i can connect through irc.zanet.net so i followed the instructions on the page summit wrote and i replaced the zerolimit with the zanet and i was able to connect to the server but when i entered #bf-bnethacking it took me to a room with no one

Well i can finally connect but i dont see anyone in the room. Maybe im in the wrong room im not sure can u post a link to take us there or something thx.

yeah is the irc server down? it wont let me connect through irc.zerolimit.net it says "unable to resolve server" when i try your method it does the same thing when i type in /server casino-city.us.zerolimit.net it wont let me connect!

hmm very odd.. the casino one workes fine for me.. i am connected now to it.. make sure ur firewakk aint interfearing..

I think they need to post a thread with a little more information about how we connect to bf room alot of people are having troubles.

im on a router could that be a problem? shouldnt be though because i can connect to other servers... it could be that i am to far away from the casino one?? my firewall is weak it should let me through

edit: might be the port thats the probleM?!

i know but the thread is fine it is simple just type /server (server name) -j #(channel) and this takes u into irc and join the channel make sure u have mIRC from www.mirc.com cause mby some people mught be using different thing. ig you have norton internet security make shure mirc is on permit all, opr else u wont connect.

i like edits: btw im on windows xp, my interent host is comcast, and im on a router could any of these be the problem? i have no firewall except for the one supplied with windows networking and the one supplied with the router....

@zephyr is there any other servers for zerolimit that we can try and connect too? maybe thats our problem

hmmm i have no idea.. mby ask summit cause it should be working for you guys unless your behind some kind of fire wall not allowing you to connect.
