I get that sometimes too, Akule.

If you are really bored, and you have PS7, right? Convert the damned thing.

Unless you want to go and repair your IE via Add/Remove programs.....

Oh yeah, we have a Tech Forum, remember?

Ok i asked the same question on a different forum and what i found out is.. if you right click the images copy its url and write url on like a forum in the url code right click on that save target as and youve got it. Or if the link is for like a buddy icon so you cant get the url just right click it set it as desktop item and then put your mouse over and click the little down arrow and there should be something like open in new window and then you can save it.

I had this a while back, and Wolfnestein aka Dice 5 had the cure.

Go into your Internet options, General tab, and hit Delete Files.

For some reason when the temp file gets to a certain level of full, it does this.
Once deleted your pictures will save with the name that the site gave it, and in their proper format.

Word. I recommend Avant or FireFox.

Anyway, if you don't already do this

'Control Panel->Folder Options->View->Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

This may not solve the problem with IE, but if this ever happens again you can manually change the file type without the 'save as'. Plus it's nice to know all the file types anyway.

I'm really scared of Microsoft assassins. They'll probably accidentally shoot themselves.

It depends what computer I'm using. Currently Windows XP. When I get my other computer back I'll be using Redhat.

EDIT: Ironically the only thing that ever crashed while I was using Redhat was my Windows emulator.

IE is crap and has great, free alternatives; Windows is crap compared to alternative (better, [some] free) operating systems, but is still frequently useful do to other factors not controlled by the average user.
