its a lil too dark in some sections....and the white glow in the middle could look better....but its an good peice....could look lots better with a lil bit more work.....

Usually people saying stuff is "too dark" are just full of shit, but in this case it holds some merit:

Assuming that the protrusions from the center are 3D they're going to catch some of the light from your glow in the middle. They don't seem to be doing so. Some of your highlights aren't blended well enough into the midtones also; the ones I'm looking at in particular are around the center of the image.

I really like the background though. It's all-in-all a pretty good image.
