wow, this is so useful! this is basicly essential. if blizzard loved us they would have made this feature built in to the game! its so obviously necessary....

thanks a ton Sin!

i consider this newbies only material now as its unstickied anyway :)

"I want to change the ORIGINAL CDKEY AND d2EXP KEY
not the one in cdkey.mpq "
"d2cdkeympq"="d2sfx.mpq"
"d2xcdkeympq"="d2char.mpq"
in the reg file

for some reason when i do this..when i try to add -w -mpq cdkey.mpq to the shortcut Start In box it says "The folder '*D2 Folder*' -w -mpq cdkey.mpq specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and the path is correct" I've checked it and everything is setup right...I just can't figure it out :S

You've put the -w -mpq cdkey.mpq in the wrong box. You have to put at the end of the "target" box not the "start in". If there's no Target box then you haven't created the shortcut successfully.

This thread has done it's time. It's been very old, and bumped. Enough has been said anyway.
