Mike, you're an ignorant American indeed. There are differences between Hispanic and Spanish names (often different, like, for example, Paco. Never saw that name in Spain) and those from Portugal (totally different writing and spelling ;)), which are themselves also a bit different from the former Portuguese colonies (like Brazil).

Indeed.

By the way, I was thinking, and I think the reason why you thought it was Diago was because you probably have already seen the name Tiago (like in Santiago, or whatever) somewhere. That's a common iberic name for both people and places. While I've never seen Diago all my life :p
