So yeah, Arthas and Lich King merged to become a super being. Much like Cell did to the Androids in DBZ or Hexadecimal and Megabyte in Reboot.

Dream_walker showed me a screenshot of it. But what I don't get is, that wisps destroyed Archimonde's body COMPLETELY. I don't get why there are still bones there.

They say they were going to add Icecrown in some patch. You find insanely difficult monsters then eventually you find Arthas with the Lich King's power.

I think they will leave the Arthas scenario for the next warcraft.
Anyway, I wonder who will stand against Arthas in the next warcraft campaign. Who will be strong and "gifted" enough to challenge his evil powers.

Its not just Arthas. Its the entire undead forces still in Northrend and also the weather itself. The undead are unaffected by these climates.
