i got warcraft III because i got tired of starcraft,
and I'm having so much trouble creeping and micro managing
especially creeping and lvling up my hero

my hero attribute is wayyyyy lower than anyone else.. T.T

does anyone have an idea as to how i cann practice
micro managing and creeping in an effective way?

Try to work on managing your hero first. Once you have him well managed to where he's easy to use,. then focus on unit groups. Just go from there so that when you fight something you can keep most if not all of your units alive as well as your hero. :)

Dude, you must do one most important thing if you want to be better, which is the download replays! Learn and apply the Building Order, strats, etc by those pros first and then when you get used to it then you try to do ur own stuff by the time you will be all good...

I don't know why this was ever taken down, but read through this
http://battleforums.com/showthread.php?t=14219
It is a really good guide.

As for microing, keep your units in key groups. 1 for your meele, 2 for your ranged, 3 for your casters and 4-7 for important producing buildings. F1 - F3 is designated for your heros respectively. Move injured untis out of battle when they hit orange, and use range to focus on enemy weak units. Make sure casters always have magic before a battle, and heros should be casting for a situation. Finaly, watch pro replays, define a strategy, and just keep playing. Warcraft is all about learning and adapting. So more questions should be asked in the strat section where one of our more elite players will give real advice.

Yea... i was wondering wher that was

and replays? Gosh, they're just like some jolly shows, I dont really learn much from it other than BO that I can never pull off a win with.

play alot
read about types of armor types of attack........
watch replays of pros for strategies
train in battle with multitasking and subgrouping
and play even more ;)

Hey guys I want to ask, wcreplays is an excelent provider for replays, but sometimes the replays I get from there are not working, why is that?
It says " the replay cannot be open". The version is right, I didn't know what to do, so since 1.18 I haven't downloaded replays from their website.

Beat Campaign (TFT)
Realize what each unit does
Practice with micro (this isnt starcraft).
Play melee's with computers
As you get better, build up ur skills
Later, fight real people
Build up skills with real people, micro and all kinds of other things.

As you go along, learn to subgroup and switch between groups (like Ctrl 1) to make multiple actions in little time.
